Or have it playing as you're cruising around looking for 2x4s to kill. And also, listen to Traffic by Traffic and Ginger Bakers Airforce. Personal favourite is blasting All Saints' Pure Shores while lobbing grenades at oil tankers.

People just plain like 'em. In contrast, while Winwood didn't clash with the Stones, he very much clashed with the timeframe people felt that they had to start assembling in front of the Pyramid Winwood had a pitiful crowd that thinned out steadily the closer it came to The Rolling Stones set time leaving about 200 hardcore absolutely loving his set. We walked out of the acoustic tent and strolled to the Pyramid and worked our way in from the back and got a good spot on the hill, sparked a joint and The Stones walked out. We could not have timed it better and those who abandoned Winwood's set halfway through really missed out. Back to Art, I said on the first Art Garfunkel thread that I would gladly hand over my man card and weep openly for the majority of his set and it very much appears I won't be alone on that one, especially looking at his current set list. An Efests communal "weep meet" sounds great.

Shame, they're great fun.

They do normally fall down after that, though, so they probably wouldn't be up for another gig after that mileage.
CaledonianGonzo
If the Reids were on their way it'd be 3 years out of 4, so not surprising that they're sitting this one out.

ThomThomDrum
Jesus! It's now officially beginning to get at me! Headliners of Coldplay, Muse and potentially Adele made me smile, but now the prospect of missing ZZ-top, Art Garfunkel and Foals killing it on the Pyramid have me now beginning to hurt. The hurt this first missed Glasto since 2004 will bring will only get stronger once feels..................
Little Andy
I love Simon and Garfunkel, but am only now scouring YouTube for some solo Art songs, and it doesn't sound like my cup of tea. Does anyone know if he usually plays any Simon and Garfunkel stuff, or just his own?

Harmonic Prospector
He gives the people what they want. Out of all the acts i am planning on seeing this weekend (the most of any year) he is the one I am looking forward to the most. It's going to be emotional. Alan_C
I've pretty much agreed not to see Tame Impala because I have picked a big part of the lineup and I know the mrs will hate them, so it's out of Art or Chvrches on Saturday. Not my final decision but I can probably influence it!

I'm slightly leaning towards Art as I don't know when I'll next have the chance to see him, and I don't think I'll be short of opportunities to see Chvrches. It'll probably come down to my mood on the day - whether I'm up for a bit of a dance or a bit of a cry. Also - the Acoustic is gonna be absolutely overflowing for this, isn't it? Even with the three-way clash with Tame Impala and Chvrches

Saturday night is looking brilliant, it's just that sub decision that is a bastard.
