Was excited.... '49 pages of self confirmed!'. I wonder who's appearing now?

Am disappointed.... Turns out that most of this is 'chit-chat'.

Perhaps, next year, we can have two threads.... "Self Confirmed" and "Chit-Chat About Self Confirmed".

There's absolutely loads of acts self confirmed on here. If you just want raw info, try here: http://www.efestivals.co.uk/festivals/lineups.php

Agreed, no chit chat on the chat section of efests.

What's your favourite colour?

No, there was just info of them playing 3rd down one day and Friday/Sunday are only one's possible. It's looking a little like Catfish and The Lumineers 3rd down though, the latter do have a lot of fans but I don't expect subbing.

Remember it was said ELO were doing a sunset slot by some reporting but its actually the Legenda slot.

ELO are actually playing the special 'teatime' slot'. That means that whenever you're having your tea on the Sunday, ELO will be playing. This hold true for all observers irrespective of the time they have their tea.

It's a bit like the speed of light.

Ben Miller Band playing Avalon Stage. With that name I thought they'd be a comedy troupe who do a cover of 'The Joker', but apparently they play "North Mississippi Hill Country blues, Appalachian mountain music, bluegrass, or pure country" and have toured with ZZ Top. Added to the playlist.

I saw them at Cambridge last year.  Well worth catching.

Yep, this one's right up my street too. Thanks Brave Sir Robin.

Wasn't sold by the description myself but perhaps I should have been, very much enjoying the Ben Miller Band tracks on the playlist. Will try and see them if I can. Always nice to spend some time around Avalon!

This isn't possible and you're lying.

Oooh missed that with all the boccock about running orders!

I had then on my list of possibles for West Holts (early afternoon-ish) but they are a good fit for Avalon. If you like Seasick Steve or North Mississippi All Stars, check these guys out.

Making my "must see" list for deffo.

Biggles have self confirmed on the Facebook page. Wouldn't be the same without them!

Sorry, you beat me to it.  So happy they are there because I missed last year. Was gutted to think I wouldn't see them again!

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
