Never really explored them since, mind. lead singer has left since then so the guitarist took over vocal duties. their output hasn't been nearly as good since unfortunately, which is a shame because that first album soundtracked my summer 2011

Can't take that name seriously! Will have to have to do a listen @FloorFiller .
bocumaroy
Gonna take something pretty great to top Blackstar this year. So far I’m enjoying the DIIV leak (never been too sure how much I like his songwriting beyond the pleasant sonic aesthetic, but this is a step forward I think - the clearer and more prominent vocals help) and Delta Pi Delta by Mechanimal. TomViolence
Thoroughly enjoying the Hinds album at the moment, hopefully they're in the UK a fair bit this summer.

dentalplan
Remember when it was hinted Pavement would be doing something in 2016? Nothing seemed to ever come of that and obviously we haven't heard of them arranging shows or whatever. Weird, huh.

At The Disco They are playing in America all 3 days of Glastonbury, shame. Going by their tour dates they look like they could play reading. Though they are playing Manchester Academy 3rd of April and Brixton 5th of April for anyone interested
FloorFiller
i thought a new self titled album was due! shame about them being booked up over Glastonbury. definitely think they'll be doing Reading/Leeds those lucky muckers, gonna have to try and convince somebody to go to that Manchester date with me
FloorFiller
new song is your pretty standard latter-day Weezer though. hope the new album has a little more to it. last album was a great step in the right direction
bocumaroy
Seems that Wolf Parade are back. Thought I’d never get to see them.
FloorFiller
jesus, £40 for those Weezer tickets. seems mighty steep for an academy show. doubt i'll be able to convince anybody to fork over that
jonodillieono
I'll probably go to that Manchester date. I've a friend who works on the bar there and if you work there you can get guestlist for any gig for free and a +1 for a fiver (excluding the massive things like Muse/Prince). The problem is she has to go to the gig as well and she's only really into shit like Scouting for Girls and One Direction so most of the time she cant be arsed

Badlands
New Anderson Paak album was released yesterday and is very pleasant in a chilled Cali hip-hop/soul kinda way. Heavy is the presence of K-Dot in his drawl, but he's also a great singer as well.
CHRLY
Been listening to the Yorkston/Thorne/Khan album a lot in the past couple of days. It's lovely.
the wonderwhy
So there was a new Joy Formid song on BBC Wales which sounded AWESOME but I can't find it online anywhere. Apparently its only a bonus song on the new album so if the other x number of songs are better then that bodes very well
FloorFiller
feels like TJF have been away for absolutely ages. seems like much longer than three years ago that Wolf's Law came out. personally didn't like that album as much as The Big Roar, but happy to have them back! any news on when the new'n's out?
the wonderwhy
New single the same week as their upcoming mini-tour with the album out May time I seem to remember reading. Yeah I prefer The Big Roar but Wolf's Law still has some big songs on it. Hopefully they're at Glasto because they always bring it live.
