Yep.

I can't dismiss what I've heard today, and yet .... there's things which just don't feel right.

Even so, what someone suggested at my prompting of Bowie's band perhaps playing before Adele feels like that might be the act for that slot. If that band is playing they can't really be put in a small slot, tho it doesn't really explain the lockdown on the info.

Can I ask - are you sure/had info that the Saturday sub hasn't been announced?

Nope.

I've said all along it might be a big american act (cos the UK hears less of their gossip), and I have had someone I respect suggest - purely as a guess - that it might be Beyonce. I don't really think it's right, tho there's enough about the idea for it to not be ruled out entirely.

Nope, I'm not even sure about that. I just can't see who it is tho.

I don't believe it's Disclosure tho, who are the act that people thought it might be.

You have thought for a while that Other headliners are LCD and BMTH though haven't you? Disclosure can surely only fit in as Pyramid sub or Other headliner.

Tho that wouldn't require the complete secrecy that appears to exist about that slot. Telling people of a Bowie tribute wouldn't be giving the secret vocalists away.

Then again, it might just be that the angles I have to info aren't the right angles to get at that particular bit of info, which is giving a false impression of total secrecy. It wouldn't be the first time.

I don't think going up after Beyoncé would do too well for Adele's confidence.

Nope, nothing - but american acts come with less info as an average.

I'd guess Pyramid too, tho if all of the other presumptions of where acts are playing are right he'd have to be pretty early in the day, and that seems a bit odd.

That would be really strange, I'd be left scratching my head at why she had been booked again so soon in a lesser slot, wouldn't really make much sense, but given there's nothing much else to go on its understanble why you can't rule it out

      I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.

      People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

      Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!

      Yeh, the quiet camping also seems to be on the same side (broadly) as the bits of the festival that go on the latest (Far Out / Chai Waalahs / RTT until 4am). We're always in Tangerine Fields which is right behind the main stage and as soon as that and Rising Stage are done it's pretty quiet (midnight onwards) which I'd guess is pretty similar if you can hack taking all your gear from the car past the big tree in the middle and into the campsites that side.
