Radiohead touring in 2016

I was just going to turn up at the Roundhouse rather than queuing - I don't expect to be on the barrier, I expect to be able to see and hear. I've not been to London for a gig for a long time though.

I was at the Roundhouse last night for Father John Misty and as long as you get in front of the first set of posts you get a great view (usual caveats apply like not getting stuck behind a giant!) and the sound also was really good, excellent venue!

Nottingham crowds are excellent. There's no point arguing who are the 'best', but crowds here in Notts definitely stand out as some of the best from what I've seen.

Northerners are better than southerners in every single way when it comes to enjoying yourself.

My best glastonburys have always coincided with having northern neighbours!

Not when I saw Matt Berry on a Thursday. At one point - during a song! - there were four people next to me on their phones. One of them was watching the footie. Fuck's sake. Worst crowd ever. Not the best performance to be fair, but he didn't deserve that, by a long stretch. Did they all expect jokes?

London crowds are infuriating. I say that as a card carrying, shandy drinking southern Jessie. Brighton crowds are pretty good, though there is a hell of a lot of posing and scenester types hanging around - but it's Brighton. They're everywhere. And at least they guarantee there'll be good (expensive) beer

This. the best atmosphere I've seen at gigs has been in Nottingham, Southampton and Portsmouth being the worst! It was like half the crowd didn't want to be there. Coventry gigs always end up in the crowd chanting football songs which is annoying

The holy trinity of Rock City, Rescue Rooms and the Bodega is where it's at. Saw Frank Turner at Rock City in November and it was unbelievable. That place just elevates bands to a new level.
