Radiohead touring in 2016

At work with headphones on, listening to the Radio 6 release show for the 2nd time. I do not buy many albums anymore but I am definitely buying this on cd. It's spellbinding...

Had a quick listen last night and another this morning on the way into work but not done the whole thing in one sitting yet.

Like what I'm hearing so far but going to take a few days and listens before delivering a verdict.

Muse played very few classics in Manchester when I saw them. Will be interesting to see how much of drones is played in a festival set

refers to climate change/rising sea levels/melting icecap -> a world covered in water aka A Moon-Shaped Pool. it seems like there should be a hyphen in there.

I read the title as more "a pool shaped by the moon", like it's a pool left after the tide's gone out or something.

It feels a bit like the title explains the album's air of a "this is how we ended up here" vibe but I'm probably reading far too much into it.

I get your point, but I think people view Radiohead as more obtuse than they actually are. If they ever do headline Glastonbury again, they would play plenty of 'familiar' songs I'm sure. They aren't that awkward to turn up to the biggest and most viewed headline slot in the UK (world?) and play a load of songs the general audience doesn't know.

That's funny, because it's actually the other way around - TKOL was made in the studio and they believed it would be 'unplayable' live (to use their words), until they came up with the idea to use a second drummer.

It's in the lyrics - it's in the backing vocals of Identikit (listen closely to the first 30 seconds, it's somewhere there).

BTW that's the second title they hidden in backing vocals - 'In Rainbows' in Reckoner too.

I think they'll end their sets with True Love Waits. Just a hunch really.

Rest of your set list is incredible though. I'm so glad the new album is amazing because now I'm really looking to hearing the new songs, rather than them being filler. It makes possible setlists much, MUCH more exciting.

That Reading set was a huge surprise. Nobody really expected them to play Creep or do such a hits set.

Ends with "Everything in it's Right Place"? Check.
Contains "Identikit", "Pyramid Song" and "How to Disappear Completely"? Check.

Actually, it should end with "How to Disappear Completely", obviously.  As a side note, wouldn't it be wonderful if that's the last song they ever play before breaking up (in 20 years time) .

ha i was thinking the exact same thing - couple of days ago i was bemoaning over what songs they'd have to cut to make way for the new album, now i'm cutting old songs out to make way for the new album material. and yeah could definitely see True Love Waits being a closer on this tour, whether it be to the main set or one of the encores

Coachella is a different beast though. Headlining Glastonbury would obviously be a huge, career defining moment in front of their home crowd.

Guitars are usually difficult to figure out. I know it's Jonny becuase Identikit was played live and it was clearly him. I'm still wondering who played the acoustic in Desert Island Disk btw.

fortunately this time round they're touring behind a far more accessible album. man i would've loved to have seen some people's faces at Coachella when they launched in to Feral   also the new album has had a ridiculous amount of hype behind it which seems to have totally outdone what came before it in terms of Radiohead albums

and yeah Climbing Up the Walls would be fantastic but unfortunately they can't play ALL their songs
