Finally, someone who agrees with me! That's the major flaw in the 'I don't want Radiohead to play this year because it means they won't headline next year' argument.

Yeah I'm sticking with the idea that Adele will "headline" before and be followed by Radiohead. I don't think she'd be that bothered following Radiohead, they're definitely a Glasto band but I can't really see their popularity being that huge in the general population, whereas Adele is the opposite really.

Reckon you could extend that to Glastonbury attendees in general though. Would definitely be odd if they are subbing Adele (or vice versa), especially considering the other headliners. I would be shocked if the new Radiohead record doesn't outsell at Muse's and quite probably Coldplay's too - though they will all pale in comparison to Adele's....

I'd say it's unlikely. Reading between the lines of the last emails exchanged it didn't sound like an update was accessible to him.

But also, reading between the lines it sounded like I might have pissed him off by doubting him, as he was pointing out all of the reliable info he'd previously given - and to be honest, I don't much blame him. I was suggesting his info might be wrong because of stuff I was hearing from different directions, and he might have taken it in a different way to what I intended.

He did agree with the possibility that things might have changed which I'd suggested to him, tho he played down that to a minimum like it was very unlikely from what he was thinking. As he knows where his info has come from (while I don't) he might well have very good reasons for such certainties.

As I've said, his record over the best part of the last decade has been perfect. He's got good reason to be pissed off with my doubts on that basis alone.

And it's why I've kept faith with what he's said, despite me happy to agree it might be wrong. As things stand I've much more reason to think it's right than wrong.

There was nothing said about headlining. I asked if they were headlining and was told the info he'd had was 'playing' and nothing else, which leaves all options open.
