Could you think of a worse crowd tho? I'm not that desperate.

totally, it wouldn't work.

Let them headline 2017 if they're not headlining this year....the prospects for next years headliners are already looking very grim otherwise!

F*ck off. Seriously? I thought that was just something some flash mob types were organising. Aren't eavii doing something extra?

And I'll be buggered if I'm gonna turn up and be forced to have fun, I tell you!!

Apparently the Eavii are doing summink.

But I'm still seeing tweets from that singalong mob. Chances are it'll die on it's arse. Too much time has passed.

Here's a theory (I'm sure its been suggested already because we collectively seem to have floated every idea possible) ... the sound ordinances have been re-negotiated this year, and there will be a Thursday headliner.

That wouldn't be possible without it being VERY public.

In order for any kind of significant musical volume on the Thursday, the Festival would need to apply for a new licence, or for a modification. So there'd be all kinds of consultation with residents etc to go through.

Even on the Pyramid  a Thursday night headliner would be a health and safety nightmare. No competition would see the best part of 200,000 packed into a field that can hold half that number.

Every idea?

Monday headliner?

Or my personal favourite; the company registered for the new album is called Dawn Chorus, right? 5am Pyramid.

Guy in the New Order thread seems to have heard through somebody who knows somebody etc that they're still definitely lined up to headline Other that night, so the Radiohead vs Adele theory is seemingly out of the window. I'm gonna stick with fourth headliner/Adele sub for now, for lack of anywhere else that wouldn't be weird as fuck for an announced Radiohead to play

Surely you must have run out of popcorn by now?

The headliners thread has offered mere scraps this year.

Fwiw, Radiohead agnostic as I am, I sincerely hope they play for all the people on here, not least yourself, who would love to see them.

@eFestivals Neil, you're someone who prides themselves on getting to the bottom of these rumours and breaking news first. Is the Radiohead situation as confusing to you as it is to us? You've said you aren't fussed either way if they actually play or not, but it must seem strange to have a headliner size band floating around, with word they are playing at the festival, but absolutely zero indication as to where/when/in what capacity they will appear!

    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
    • Yeh, the quiet camping also seems to be on the same side (broadly) as the bits of the festival that go on the latest (Far Out / Chai Waalahs / RTT until 4am). We're always in Tangerine Fields which is right behind the main stage and as soon as that and Rising Stage are done it's pretty quiet (midnight onwards) which I'd guess is pretty similar if you can hack taking all your gear from the car past the big tree in the middle and into the campsites that side.
    • Can't see Bimble line up anywhere - am I being dense and missing an obvious release somewhere?
