I was going to mention this... sad but true.
You end up stood in a fairly quiet crowd at 4pm watching these beautiful Scottish dudes play their hearts out.

It is nice to be able to get that close for a really solid live band though.

I think they will be there for sure as they will be around with them announcing RAR, it'd be nice to get them back in the barn as that's the only chance you'll get to see them in such a small setting, would be magic!

They played 4th down in the Main stage in 2014 (around 17:00 as PJ were scheduled for 3 hours set) so I guess that if they'll play it will be 3th down or 4th if you count a dance act Main stage closer.

got my phone stolen during Buffy last time they played the barn in 2013. It was anything but quiet, as the werchter crowd are quite reserved but it got a bit hectic in there.

So that probably means we'll obviously have another day ending up being Editors/The National with a dance act after which will either be Major Lazor, Netsky or Disclosure.

Then the last two spots will be between Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters and Chili Peppers but would have thought RHCP would have been announced Wednesday if they were playing. Don't think we'll get an announcement today though, Monday they'll announce Editors because of their date in Belgium this weekend.

Yeah that's what I'm expecting but I could see them subbing the barn against a softer band ala Editors/The National to split the crowds a bit

Yeah thats possible too.  I just feel that every year there are less and less acts whose music fits the Main stage.

Try skyscanner and see what's offered from Glasgow.  Not sure who if anyone does direct flights.  Other option is fly to London and get Eurostar.  Went to Wercher this year and it's brilliant.

get the Eurostar ? are you mental, it's closed or delayed every other day.

We hired a motorhome and drove there, it was sweet, getting back was a pain with the ferries on strike.

If I was sensible and willing to give up modern conveniences I would fly and get the free train. But the prospect of being able to take everything over so you can fully enjoy it is incomparable I reckon.

Depends what you want out of the festival I guess!

Has it ever happened before? She won't headline because she don't have new material since her last performance... would she sub again? She wasn't even bumped last year after Foo's cancelation. From Muse to a repetition of Florence to close the festival?

They didn't say "headliner" but neither did they for Rammstein!

Seems incredibly lazy booking if she is headlining, particularly as they'll have no new material since this summer. I'm still holding out hope for another / joint headliner. Maybe she's the closing "party act" and we'll have a bigger name before? Guess we'll wait and see.

That being said Florence was one of my big suprises of last year. Wasn't expecting to enjoy her set half as much as I did. It's great to have her back on the lineup and she's definitely headline material, just not when we saw pretty much the exact same set last year subbing for Faith No More. Here's hoping for a big rock booking like the Foos - Florence combo we were promised last year!

When a band is a headliner , Rock Werchter says it with clear words. It makes two times that they don't use the word "headline" , and there's no answer when people ask the question. So it's highly probable that Rammstein and Florence are not headliners. Rammstein is probably coheadliner and Florence subheadliner.

We could expect something like :

Editors/Gorillaz, Rammstein/The National, Pearl Jam/Snow Patrol, AC/DC(Radiohead?Foo Fighters?)/FATM

Rammstein will headline. No doubt about that. They always use the word headline? Sure about that?

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
