Somethings definitely going on...

I know they've been in the studio a lot recently, but Drones only came out 2 years ago. Unless maybe its for an album coming out next year (even then it seems really soon to be doing new music)

On the youtube thread it has Muse: 2017 with the two BTS videos on it... definitely something new this year...

It's been three years most times recently. But I'd imagine that if they have stuff and are ready to go, it wouldn't be a big shock to see more new stuff.

Personally, I think it might be an EP to go along with the new US tour and UK shows, or maybe even just a new song, but there definitely seems to be something coming.

I see the Reading Friday/Leeds Saturday NME stage only has ten acts announced, compared to the other two days that have twelve. I'm guessing there'll be a couple more names to come, then. Death Grips maybe?

Secret set probably. If there is a TBA act, it'll be one with a clear reason not to have been given away with the other 97% of acts announced. Death Grips don't have one, in fact it'd probably just be another Slam Dunk band.

That Chase & Status + Blossoms track is naff. I really shouldn't care but C&S were absolutely killing it with More Than Alot and No More Idols and it's looking like their new stuff is going to be as poor as their previous album :(

I dunno, this is kinda giving me hope (and the Tom Grennan collab was pretty good imo):

But they do seem to be working with a lot of rock bands (Blossoms & Slaves) which is very weird imo.

Not sure if anyone has seen it but the s**t has hit the fan with PWR BTTM.

Allegations of multiple sexual assaults (ironic as they were promoting 'safe spaces' at gigs)

Not sure they'll be at Reading/Leeds as they are not sure if their tour will go ahead

Never been a fan. The cynic in me felt it all seemed a bit disingenuous and that they saw an untapped market to exploit. It's not just sexual assaults it's throwing insults at the LGBT community too.

Similar thing happened with Cabbage not long ago. Not sure what came about from it though (if anything). Lead singer allegedly sexually assaulted a female fan at the gig with her dad. Multiple videos emerged after that of him on stage indecently touching himself on stage after profusely denying it.

    • Sun's out today. Can feel the hills calling. Time to ramp up the energy levels. I've been easing my way in gently the last 2 weeks with the likes of Hayley and Lael Neale and Cut Worms and Maria Somerville etc. Time to unleash some Shame, Mogwai, Place to Bury Strangers and especially Wednesday and Mannequin Pussy.  Also, just back from a brilliant night in Belfast at the Fleadh Ceoil so anything with a fiddle or a whistle or a squeeze box is drawing me like the Sirens. Madra Salach with the volume up. COME ON!!
    • My Orange car park ticket turned up today. The envelope looked like some kind of junk mail offering me a loan so I nearly didn't open it!
    • There is a bunch of TBC acts on Deftones day, according to APE insta. The obvious guesses are Fiddlehead, Nothing, Dynamite and Make Way, "Outbreak" artists playing the night before. The question is more about how are they are gonna fit in on three big stages.    is
    • SURELY Reel Big Fish will be here?
    • Sam Fender, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter is a very bland set of headliners. Commercially successful and makes plenty of sense, but it wouldn't be very inspirising. That said I want a band like Green Day to headline so who am I to say what exciting is.
