Is there any particular reason why AC/DC are the favourites of all the new acts? I certainly wouldn't complain. Seen them once before and they were tremendous. I thought that would be a once in a lifetime thing so it'd be great to see them again.

Because they're a huge name, so media outlets will run articles on them and more people will flock (well, stumble) to the website to bet on them.

Can't we basically rule out Florence being bumped up?

The lineup page has a TBA above her, I was assuming that means that they'll just put something else in that slot? Maybe?

Yeah they haven't bumped a sub up to headliner in the past so I dunno why they would with Florence, even if she is a fitting headliner for the festival. Plus adding that TBA and then it being Florence would be some kick in the nuts

Right gonna have a tiny bit of rant

I'm seeing people on Twitter and that frigging Glastonbury chat page stating stuff like, "it'l have to be a big rock band replacing, otherwise They'l piss off the foos fans"...

Glastonbury will not be spoilt for choice with this, I'd imagine possibly only one, maybe two or three at the maximum bands would be actually interested in doing it! It frustrates me! They will get what they can, they don't care about pissing off foo fighters fans because they can only get what's available to them!

I don't get where people think like this? Like Emily got the call they were cancelling and strutted down to a shed with an ARGOS catalog full of bands she can get to replace!

Are people just dumb? Is that it?

They won't be primarily looking for a rock band purely to satisfy the dissapointed foo fans. They'l probably look for the quickest and closest band on their radar who'd give them the thumbs up as swiftly as possible! People these days think they are entitled to so much

Ugh

Dunno why this annoyed me I'm going back to bed.

Well yeah clearly, but I didn't now if some new information had come out. I can't see why they would have such shorter odds than Blur/Stone Roses/Taylor Swift. They are all huge names and all in the running.

These odds are not moving fast. Florence is staying at evens.

Not sure Flo could do a 2 hour set !

The easiest option is Florence, so that's what it will be.

Most of the other options are either not touring currently and unlikely to be prepared to risk a short notice gig, or too tied to a current tour (I know The Who were but they had much more time to reorganise), and they won't get a 'bigger than Foos' act as an emergency sub. Ego thing.

They've bumped an Other Sub up to headliner but nobody's mentioned any of those. :P

TBA is what they were always gonna put before they figured out what's going to happen. Even if they did know, Florence could still be announced in that slot and fulfil the requirements of a 'TBA'.

    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂

    • This Isaac wood news has dropped right out of left field. Great to hear he feels up to doing live stuff again    what will he play? Solo stuff , old BCNR stuff?    It’s only in November , it’s a bold booking to for someone who has previously had some struggles to come back and play a load of new stuff to crowds that big
    • Wow, Blink-182 back so soon. They’re the band they’ve never booked then. Great booking if they’ve got them.    Deftones, Papa Roach, Knocked Loose   Lamb of God   Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte   Megadeth   Slipknot, Gojira, Motionless In White   All Time Low
