I read that wrong! I thought you were expressing an annoyance at missing the 2 bands, and wondered who you meant, and then I realised. I've only heard the single so far, but may side with them instead of the Who. My excitement in seeing the Who is tempered by their cancelling the Paris gig.

Anyone know if you get any of their own stuff? https://youtu.be/QAzESJ62irI Edited by jeffie

Lot of people missing good bands playing good music in favor of Kanye West and his hit machine...that amuses me.........still more space for the rest of us at suede etc :)

Thank god the Yeezy crowd isn't going to be bogged down with boring old berks like you.

My biggest sacrifice in 2015 is missing it all. For the first time in 21 years. I going instead to Indonesia to see brother and my baby niece who I've never met and can't afford the time or money to do both.

But 3 weeks away from Glastonbury, right now, that is a massive sacrifice.

me too for Leftfield not much on that I do want to see..... but the few things I am interested in are clashing... and this is the most annoying one. but will have to go with george clinton.

Reason being I think Leftfield may concentrate on their new stuff.........

Yeah it's definitely one I'll have to decide depending on my mood/where I'm heading to after. FKA Twigs is currently winning for me also though as I'm seeing Death Cab next week and Goat finish quite late. Knowing my luck something crazy will happen and I'll miss all 3 :P

I've a horrible feeling that i'll end up just watching Jamie T with my friends in the run up to Chemical Brothers, which wouldn't be too bad as i do like him, but vs FKA twigs and DCFC he just can't win. may have to toddle off on my own

I'll be missing The Chemical Brothers for The Who. Been to see the Chems about 10 times over the years, inc missing The Who for them at Glastonbury 2007.

But I think this will be my last chance to see The Who and I've seen the Chems loads. Plus its on the Sunday so I'll have probably done most of my drugs anyway and I have to get a 7.30am coach home on the monday so will round the festival off nicely for me. :)

I'll be watching Roy Ayers over Belle and Sebastian,I'd love to see them both,I saw B&S in 05 on the other and they were excellent and Roy at the last Big Chill who was also very good.

It's the stages that have made my mind up,I love WH but I find the Other a bit soulless especially if there's a bit of mud,it's a bit like popping over to Reading festival when I go to the Other.

I can't even listen to The Chemical Brothers in the run up to the festival as missing them is incredibly painful. I was dead set on seeing them up until when The Who were announced as I didn't think anything could pull me away from them, but I'll have more chances to see The Chems wheras The Who...

Other ones include Super Furry Animals, The Maccabees, Flying Lotus and Belle & Sebastian.

My biggest sacrifice is the entirety of Friday.

My dad got me a ticket for The Who at Hyde Park for my 21st and it's on Friday 26th! I'm absolutely gutted to be missing a whole day, but I'll be back by lunchtime on Saturday! Just can't let my dad down like that as they're one of his favourite bands and never seen them!

Just read your quote to my son (17) Tom and asked if he'd do the same for me.

He told me "Absolutely no chance".

I knew all that time locking him in the cupboard under the stairs when he was younger would have repercussions..

Two really, it's a toss up between Mavis on at the Park and Dreadzone who I've missed every year, probably going to go with Dreadzone as i'll be at the Avalon for I am Kloot and Neville Staples, but I keep playing the staple singers old tracks and it's bugging me, I know Mavis is well old now, but a great voice but I think it'll be the last time I get the chance to see Dreadzone.

Also Vintage trouble and Maccabees. I owe it to Vintage trouble after last year when It pissed down, there we were cowering under the tented bar by the side of West Holts, such a shame that was, but I love the Maccabees live, as my Brother likes them a lot too it looks like Vintage will have to be sacrificed :(

Thought you would be a cert for SFA?

Leftfield, if I can't persuade my group. There might be a small chance as we will probably be at Ben Howard but I think the attraction of being near the SE corner will take us to the Mothership (which isn't terrible)

You cant persuade your group. Wtf! Go on your own, you would have a much better festival for being slightly selfish. Leftfield will be kicking!

I would happily see any of Kanye/Mothership/PSB but sacrificing them all for Suede. That's annoying.

Worst though will be missing The Zombies for Belle & Sebastian.

I was disappointed with belle and Sebastian last week of that helps at all

I'm sacrificing the Wednesday to placate my pregnant, non attending wife. Taking one for the team here.

Each to their own and all that but I find the idea of scratching round for a ticket, only then to miss the Friday utterly mental. Waste of a ticket imho.

This. I can't understand why a group of people at Glasto have to be in each others pockets, following one another around stage after stage. I'm just going with my girlfriend this year and we are already planning what we want to see and accepted that we will have to go our separate ways from time to time.

My dilemma is i would love to be down the front for Suede but also be in that tent for Leftfield which should sound monstrous.

I'm still undecided, but I've already seen them this year and that set wasn't far off being twice as long as the one they've got at Glasto. I can see Hot Chip being brilliant too.

Aye, the set length is the only thing slightly putting me off SFA. Manchester was incredible.

Great to hear you got a ticket Tom! Even with the Friday sacrifice there is no doubt you'll have a cracking time.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
