I don't want to freak anybody out, but I think them giant dogs are looking at us. Trust me (eh?), all we need to do is back off gently and try and seek refuge in one of them old red telephone boxes. You know the ones. The ones which even Geoff Capes has difficulty opening. I'm not too sure what to do at that stage, but am open to suggestions, which are not of a bestial nature.

I think we'll be ok. There's lots of trees around. They'll be more interested in sniffing around them than chasing us.

I think

Just had to come on here to say that right NOW, at 10:09am, I'm not sure I've ever seen the un-built site look more idyllic and beautiful.

Roll on June.

:)

I have just had a look - You are not wrong! Looks fantastic down there this morning!

That cherry picker still hasn't moved though.

Can't get to the Thingy at work (AHTT, obviously), Gnomy. When did she get dressed last year (can't remember if The Thingy collates dressing dates...!)?

I've just had a look and The Thingy doesn't mention much of the site build. I did a search in this thread though as she she started being dressed on 4th May last year. They were doing a lot of inspection work on 3rd but the skin wasn't rolled out until 4th.

Does anybody know the URL format for viewing old hi-res snapshots on Glastocam?

It's something like glastocam.panomax/glastonbury/date/month/year/hour-minute.jpg

It is:

panodata1.panomax.com/cams/879/YYYY/MM/DD/hh-mm-ss_default.jpg

Although they aren't as hi-res as the recent_full.jpg url.

Seems like they are starting a bit earlier this year, looking at the "Best Shots" there wasn't much done by the 8th May last year.

It'll be a few weeks until THE fence starts appearing, question is will it be from the right or the left first!

    • Can't speak for Dua Lipa's, but Coldplay's was vastly scaled down compared to their stadium production staging though, and tracks were adapted to reflect that. MOTS tour had a full walkway 30m out to the B-Stage in the middle of the crowd, and two C-Stages. Glastonbury didn't accommodate that at all and just had a very small walkway in front of the Pyramid stage, and (IIRC) a disconnected B-Stage.   Which re-enforces my point. Acts can adapt their stage shows if they really want. Most do, some don't want to. Glastonbury might miss out on the odd act that doesn't want to slightly adapt, but so will most festivals.
    • Oh wow, was sure they’d be playing this or trees.
    • A name I didn’t think of. Maybe too big though. Think he’d go down very well despite being quite controversial.
    • Oh bummer, got excited then 😂   Although if I had read all the way down it would have been a bit of a give away, no other festival will book both of those 😂
