Just back from the farm and spoke to the croissant Neufchâtel team. It's the new croissant Neuf tent being erected and then taken down. They bought a new tent and were checking it was all ok

Good work !  Any sign of it being bigger as it seems the rhythm of the 90s group would have filled the older one 10x over!

I'm doing that with mine in a few weeks, except I'll need to clean mine if a wee bit of mud.

Looks the same size. They wanted to check that all the new panels fitted.

In other news. Hanks bin tent is up. They are pumping out the long drop tanks. Someone is reworking the roof at Spike with new hazel. The people on Pyramid field are metal detecting.

According to this road sign, roads will be blocked on 10th and the 15th (possible in between, it's not clear).

Any idea or observations on what's arriving?

maybe they are putting up the 'dont trespass' fences to restrict access to the local fields and its easier if there is no public traffic ?

Didn't someone say it's usually for the fence being delivered?

Feed suppliers probably can't be arsed to change the sheets for each delivery. They feed the cows apple pulp during cider season. Smells of fermenting apples around the farm.

That exact lorry drove through when we visited on Wednesday a coupe of weeks ago. It was parked up by the main farm and drove down towards the pyramid on the RHS instead of on the LHS like in this picture. At the time I just assumed it was taking some sort of short cut!

There are now pictures of the new tent on TOS: http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/areas/the-green-fields/croissant-neuf/

    • Deftones, Blink, Muse?   Deftones as the next bump up makes all the sense, Blink as the "band that has never played before" and round out with Muse as its been a long time since they headlined and they have a new album coming which seems on the heavier side from the singles so far.   I could see Muse do their own tour to be fair, maybe MCR in their place? Could also see Deftones switched out for Slipknot/SOAD depending on who is about.
    • I have no issue with the Primavera crowd in most respects. They’re always friendly, respectful and no hint that there could be trouble at any point.   However…the talking is horrific here. The xx was pretty much ruined for me due to people having conversations with their mates the whole way through. Noticed it from all different nationalities across the weekend…English, Irish, Spanish etc. There seems to be no understanding of the nuances of when it’s okay to talk and when it isn’t. And obviously the sound being quiet at a lot of spots on the main stages exacerbates the issue. That alone has made me reconsider whether I will be coming back, it would probably take a lineup as good as this year (unlikely)

    • I found the vibe a little different to recent editions.. definitely an older crowd, less queer, less Spanish.. certainly has something to do with the lack of Glastonbury this year. And I felt Saturday was a little overcrowded. I‘ve never seen Mordor as full as last night for the xx and Gorillaz. Did not enjoy that too much.
    • Not my favourite year either, despite liking the lineup more than previous years. Not sure what it was, I guess Thursday really put the brakes on things. But yeah I'll be back next year hopefully. And maybe Massive Attack will return...
