First Glastonbury so cant say I been 100% informed past few years. All I know its been a let down but I dont know how much of let down in comparison to rumours. With the RH rumours and the Eavii saying 'best line up yet' (which they probably would), Id like to think maybe we could be in for a pleasant surprise. I wont hold my breath though

Back on topic, are we any closer to working out who the other 2 headliners are? Are Radiohead in or out, are the Stone Roses a possibility, is Adele going to headline or is she going to bottle it again and has Purple Ronnie (Prince) decided that he can't be arsed to play due to his ego and the entourage  being unable to fit into the whole of Somerset? Answers on a post!!

It's between Adele, Muse and Radiohead. Radiohead seem least likely at this point. Doesn't seem to be any chance of the Stone Roses.

There's a strong chance all three of those names will be there in some capacity even if one of them doesn't end up headlining. There's word that Muse could sub Coldplay, Radiohead could be a secret act or even sub someone, and Adele could possibly play a non-headliner slot (although that seems unlikely). If I had to pick one scenario out of all the whacky options suggested, I'd say Radiohead and Adele will be co-headliners on Saturday, with Adele playing before Radiohead. Idea being it takes the pressure off Adele.

Safe money is on Muse and Adele though, but that begs the question where do Radiohead fit in? If at all. It's a real head scratcher.

I THINK he's just putting 2 + 2 together as they aren't listed as an exclusive for R/L, have no other summer festivals planned, and have been asked on more than one occasion if they're playing and have hinted that they are, unless he actually has further info?

edit; actually what he says seems pretty sure so I'm guessing he's got more solid info linking them to that spot; which is very good news if true!

Few immigrants who can't speak English properly thus the teacher is able to give my kids attention as opposed to having to devote all the time to them

Sending my kids to private school does not make me a toff, it makes me a caring parent

I heard that from a friend, his friend works in music media and he was backstage at the Foals gig on Tuesday, he text me on Wednesday to say that Foals were going to be subbing the pyramid stage - no reason to doubt him, but again, having not been privy to any conversations I wouldn't be sticking my house on it

I'm happy if they're playing, like, but it's pants that new headliners aren't getting opportunities.

I think you may have missed my point. I was talking about the prejudice shown by some against anyone who went to private school, even when they didn't get a choice, not making any judgement of parents. 

However, the thread has moved on now anyway.

Agreed. I don't know anything about foals but if they're big enough for Wembley arena and reading then why on earth would you recycle muse and coldplay over them? Makes no sense at all. It just makes glastonbury look scared

You could look at it that way, but to me it says 'we've got these 3 mega-headliners up top, and to boot we've got another major festival headliner as a sub'. It's not like Foals aren't getting their shot at headlining a festival - they've got R/L for that. If they're willing to accept lower at Glastonbury when they could easily just say no then we should be thankful for that. Whether this puts a bump in the road for them headlining come the next album I'm not sure, but they'll get there
