News of the Coldplay petition is in the papers today.

I'm tempted to start a petition calling for this "Felicity Martin" to return her ticket and stop moaning at the Eavii...

You do understand that petition is satire, don't you? It's word for word the same petition as there was for Kanye last year.

No I did not know that, I didn't read the Kanye petition last year, and the media haven't picked up on it being satire either.

Satire or not, I'd be a bit miffed at the media coverage it's caused if I was Emily or Michael.

It's all part of the build up these days. It should have a place on The Thingy.

I can't believe that Coldplay petition has got this much attention. It was so obviously a joke, how come hardly anyone has noticed?

Maybe cos people seem to find it easier to go along with outrage about the modern world rather than actually read the source.

Nah.  Because there are knobheads everywhere starting ridiculous petitions, so nothing seemed out of the ordinary about it.

The problem with the internet/social media is that it's very difficult to convey that you're joking/being sarcastic in writing... Especially when writing for people who don't know you.

She should have added a :D to the petition to make it obvious that it was just for lols.

But if people have found the time to get angry about the Kanye petition and now this one, they could also find the time to actually read the petitions. If they had it'd be blatantly obvious it was a parody without having to put "lol j/k" at the end.

To be fair sensible people would not even read a petition to get an artist removed from a festival. If a sensible person was that unhappy about a line up surely they would just not go?

I personally think Coldplay for the 4th time is a bit of a poor booking. I do appreciate though that it will make a lot of people happy so fair play as it makes me happy seeing other people happy.

The pyramid stage is the best place to watch a headliner for most people. That's why they are upset when one of the coveted slots has been taken by a band that are complete droppings.

I've got a friend who recently told me his three favourite acts live were Flaming Lips, Leonard Cohen and Bruce Springsteen.

In an ideal world, given we have Coldplay on Sunday, who would people now choose to headline the Pyramid the other two nights?

My choice would be

AC/DC - who I would watch

Adele or Radiohead - who I would not watch

That, for me, gives a good and varied set of headliners.

In an ideal world, Aphex Twin and RDF.

Well that's a pretty eclectic mix I have to say!

They just need to get rid of springsteen and bring nick cave into the mix for a flawless trio.

    • Out of interest (I could look but being lazy), do Mad Cool repeat that quickly? They only played last year
    • This basically!, it's about as clear as day they'll be there.
    • Yeah there is no down time, I'm still tired and over thinking from last weeks work. A big reality check this week. If you just do it for the money you always will.
