I'd say foos is already a pretty safe booking

I'd politely disagree with that. There isn't denying that, bland as they seem to me, they have been incredibly successful but how much overlap is there between their audience as the Glasto core?

I'm not sure that it's all that much. From my perspective they seem to be band that most people are "kind of okay with" rather than get passionately excited about (although there are exceptions on both sides of spectrum)

Foo Fighters

From the 7 of us going, 3 are really excited for them, 3 others are seeing them on their tour so will probably not go, but might do - and me who they don't really do it for, but if nothing else takes my fancy would go along.

Similar to Fuzzy for me, my son has seen them before, quite excited to see them again. I had tickets for Reading 2012 but had to miss out for health reasons, so I'd be happy enough to see them this time round if there isn't something special elsewhere (and it being Friday night at Glastonbury, there's never a problem with finding something special).

Taylor Swift has sold out Hyde Park, but Blur haven't.

I reckon about 3/4 of all your posts are taking the piss out of things some of us have said in the past. It makes me scared to post anything now because I talk mostly bollocks.

Blur with Swift on the Other OR Sheeran with Swift underneath.

It occurred to me that Taylor might find the Other a better shaped stage for what I feel is likely to be a big set based on a New York City scape. Im convinced she'll headline one of the two largest stages and I also agree that Ed Sheeran will be close by

Remember the 'giving someone a lift to headliner status' clue from EE few weeks back? Ed Sheeran? Or Neils female theory? ......whisper this one.....Paloma Faith?

Sheeran is in America (thank fuck), Paloma isn't close to being big enough. honestly, the only act who's being batted about who fits this is Swift (and even she doesn't really fit with it - not in the same way acts like Mumfords did, anyway)

If it does turn out to be Blur then I'm guessing Alt-J won't be headlining the Other stage on Sunday like most of us are expecting? Not sure how much crossover there would be between them right enough but it seems like a bit of a strange clash to me.

I stick by atm what I said. Alt-J to sub Other Sunday and I think it'll now be to The Chem Bros. They will fit as the Orher header whether it's Taylor, Blur or the most unlikely Sheeran.

I reckon they may well use a rock header opposite Kanye.

Taylor opposite Kanye would be amazing!

In my opinion - it will be someone who already has shows to sell in the UK in the summer - if you read the Emily Eavis interview on efestivals - she blames this for late announcement protecting their ticket sales.

Expect Blur, Taylor Swift or someone else doing a big show or series of shows in the summer.

For me The Stone Roses would be incredible but have a s feeling they have sacked it.

Prince is touring America - not impossible - just improbable

i've a feeling it will be someone like paul mccartney or stevie wonder to balance up what they know is a gamble with kanye.

would be quite happy with blur...& extremely happy with madonna (i could then sell my £125 glasgow ticket i bought yesterday:-)..or indeed fleetwood mac...that would be great sunday finale.

ps. paloma faith?..c'mon, a cabaret act at best...who the fuck buys her albums?..good luck to her though, she comes across as a lovely woman

it was a general non-specific comment - and it could apply to Foos just as much as it might Blur or Taylor
