Chase N Status would be a dreadful headliner, IMO they had no place being a sub to Prodigy the other year, Prodigy as a headliner is fine but those two back to back no thanks.

Chase N Status as a second stage headliner, ok.

They ain't nowhere near a main stage headliner.

Could be doing Reading to make up for this year? Although if Sonisphere runs they're almost guaranteed to be there as always. I don't know where Mastodon stand with DL as they didnt play for ages as DL and them had a fall out but they reconciled their differences when they played a few years back - dunno if that means they are likely to be back any time soon though as might not still be on the best of terms.

Well Machine Head headlined Bloodstock in 2012 and also did Download that same year but I'd still say that Mastodon are highly unlikely

Usually bands gets announced for the earliest festival first if they are playing 2.

Looks likely it will be either Sonisphere or R/L for them.

AC/DC, Sabbath, Rammstein would be incredible  :beach:

would be a seriously strong set of headliners, that. got a feeling that Sonisphere will poach at least one of those though (but if not, it doesn't stand much of a chance in competition with Download, does it?)

Yeah I've heard the AC/DC rumour too.

Also heard that Maiden aren't doing festivals.

Would be surprised. Maiden have officially announced one European stadium show and no more, and have been linked with festivals here, there and everywhere. Including Download France.

On the other hand, I'd have to see AC/DC announced to believe it. They've had three or four stadium shows leaked already (not officially announced yet) and it looks like it'll be part of another full stadium run - as is the norm for AC/DC - so I can't really see the AC/DC rumour amount to anything more than the AC/DC rumour last year did. Hope I'm wrong though.

Where has the AC/DC thing come from ? Nobody has really been talking about them as potential headliners for 2016.

Chuck Rammstein in, and fk me, that's an awesome line up (I'm a bit meh on Sabbath).

surely AC/DC wouldn't do another stadium here though, they were at wembley the summer just gone, so maybe there could be potential for them to do a fest if it was on the cards.

plus, I'm sure people would love to see a stage set up just for one set at the fest again...;)

ACDC came from that Keese fella. He does have a history of being right but in a right when we already knew what the headliners were kind of way. This will tell the truth if he really does know or not.

Not sure. He seemed pretty well thought of, then kinda went away and came back with a completely different approach, which led some people to think it wasn't the same person. He returned with a few things to reveal for 2014; Eminem at T (which turned out wrong), Arctics at R+L and Justin Timberlake at V (both of which we already knew from Luckysalt). Interestingly though, when the last two were predicted, they also went up on eFestivals around the same time and, of course, proved to be true. And Scottie's just heard about AC/DC as well so we'll see.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
