Did the info you get say that Biffy were being asked to headline? I could see them as a very strong sub under Foos

Headline or nothing

I cam ehere to try and find out all about Biffy Clyro - I have listened to some but it has not, so far, grabbed me in any way.

What should I listen to first?

Like Ipayne said depends what you're into, the first three and very different to the past three albums but Puzzle is a good middle ground. Anyway if they played they'd probably play stuff off Only Revolutions (my least favourite but it has got Whorses) and Opposites but I really love Blackened Sky though.

Depends what you prefer, if you like weirder and heavier music go for Infinity Land or Vertigo of Bliss. If you prefer more 'popular' rock orientated then give Puzzle a go!

Thanks - I will have a listen. I love heavy and also not so heavy and punk and R&B.................................. I confuse people with my musical taste!!

Only Revolutions and Similarities are the only ones I have really listened to before.

Yeah, what would Biffy's role be?

I mean, seeing as they are 'coming to a close', on their third 'chapter', thats their words, not mine either, i surely would have thought they wouldn't even be touring. So where would they play? Other Stage headliner? Sub? or even Headline?

Nowhere near big enough to headline. Sorry.

I'd say that they're just big enough to be honest

That's what makes me doubt Biffy will headline; they haven't even got any new material to promote and it'd be strange to book a smaller headliner like Biffy whilst they're in a transitory/low-profile state

They could be working on a album for next year as Simon said he was working on stuff already but I doubt that it will be around until 2016

if the Foos headline (which is looking likely) then no way is this gonna happen

"we couldn't be arsed thinking of a proper third headliner along with Foos and *** so we just got a Scottish Foos cover band to headline the third day"

Except they have headlined every other UK festival apart from V, so how are they nowhere near big enough exactly?

Could easily have a new album, they only stopped touring Only Revolutions in the summer of 2012, and Opposites got released early 2013. Did seem like they was going have a bit longer off this time, with those extra shows and the whole phase 3 thing ...but it wouldn't be surprising.

Foo Fighters, Muse, Biffy Clyro would be just fine with me for headliners :P

Would prefer Biffy to headline more than Saylor Twift. But i'm agreeing that they shouldn't headline, just yet.

Saw Biffy headline Sziget last year.

Might just be me but I can't see the fuss.

No lack of effort and pyros, but it just morphed into one tuneless noise.

Only emphasised more by the brilliance of Nick Cave on one of the other nights

    • My understanding is that the queues returning back to the UK will be much worse (up to two hours) but the queue entering Lisbon isn’t so bad. That’s just from reading a few forum posts about it though so take it with a pinch of salt!

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
