Overmono are recording a new album and have just been confirmed for Boomtown.. do we think they'll on the farm next summer? Park headliners maybe?

yeah sounds about right- would love them on IICON but can imagine it would be absolutely rammed. park seems more sensible

Would love this.

Could also sub Woodsies, maybe headline at a push.

IICON would be fine. It would be busy but not horrendous - IICON should be booking acts like them to help keep the rest of the SEC manageable

They could definitely sub park still tbh.

Theres no way they are headlining woodsies

Which stage tends to have the most/best techno at Glasto?

IICON and Genosys will have you covered, and are pretty much next to each other.  You'll find it in other places round the site too like Silver Hayes and Arcadia but interspersed with other genres.

Assembly seems to be pretty solely techno too - albeit its only done one year so far!

Any of you been to Burning Man from the UK?

Hope to do it this year, the logistics seem challenging though.

Thoughts on the festival/dance music? Seen Carl Cox has recently released one of his sets from there

The lads on TPDTV went there last summer. Might be a good starting point for logistics/costs

I watched this when it came out. Made me NEVER want to go to Burning Man tbh.

TPD hardly going to sell it to be fair.

Completely not their scene.

Re music - pretty sure there's schedules on the main stages instagrams left up and maybe try Clashfinder. The dance music is not remotely stacked, maybe one big act per day on the main pop up stages.

I had tickets for Monegros Festival in Spain a few years back until COVID intervened. Not too much like Burning Man apart from the fact that it's in the desert. I'm not counting out trying again but 22 hours straight is probably a younger person's game. The lineups are always really good. Nice and varied.

Never heard of this one somehow! Sounds mad - good lineup too

FloPo live in That London the other night. Absolutely fascinating, if a little uneven. Not the full-on rave set from last summer and having no support or even background music until it started at 9:00 was brave. The live painting/visuals by the team opposite Sam were (almost) the highlight. It was good for a mid-week night out but not sure what the late night Friday crew would have made of it.

I can't say anything yet (🙄 sorry), but I've heard a bit of a rumour about The Glade on Saturday night. If correct it will please quite a few of the team on here, and it's my Saturday night locked and sorted. 🕺

If it’s Carl Cox, say nothing…..

    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
    • Similar feelings to a few others on here. Not my personal favourite edition but a long way from giving up on it. Felt overcrowded at times and there are just too many people there that don't seem to like music that much! Hardly went to main stages which was the plan. Highlights Ralphie Choo, rusowsky, Gorillaz, Geese, Gelli Haha, The Sophs, PinkPantheress, Dijon. Accommodation booked for next year. Thanks for your company and comments over the past year.
