go on then guys. Someone please tell me what the highlights are gonna be. Already got the following penciled in as ones i'll try make: Hunee - NYC Downlow, Masters at Work - NYC downlow, Daniel Avery - Beat Hotel, Sasha and John Digweed - Glade.

Depends what you like! The first two are going to be very disco/house - if that's your thing, look at Fort Romeau, Space Dimension Controller, Call Super...

Daniel Avery will be heavier - look more towards Blawan, Shed, Steffi & Virginia...

Worth checking out the Hessle Audio guys -- they can and will play anything -- otherwise, just listen to your ears. Absolutely spoiled for choice!

thanks! Yeah I'm more of a disco/house guy. Like me some techno but not drum and bass.

Familiar with Space Dimension Controller, caught him a couple times in Brighton and always been a lot of fun. Will most likely be missing him sadly. Hadn't seen Fort Romeau but that probably solves my Saturday night dilemma as none of the headliners do much for me on the main stages. Will probs try catch some of that.

Thanks for your help, I'll be sure to check out the others you've mentioned.

I'd recommend Palms Trax and Young Marco at Beat Hotel Thursday. Hunee on before them. I personally don't know Matias Aguayo if anyone fancies pointing me in the right direction.

Not a fan personally. That'll be my time to stock up on supplies

a mate really wants to see Boys Noize on Arcadia Friday, I would like to see Mylo at The Blues. Who wins? Anyone know what Mylo is like these days?

Edit: Ahh theres also Hunnee on NYC Downlow. Bloody choices galore.

The correct answer is Blawan on Genosys.

Never got in to Blawan, but admittedly didnt give him too much of a chance. Can you post a good set by him so that I can see if I can make my decision even tougher?

I will try and catch Hunee on the Thursday at Beat hotel so that's one less to worry about on that Friday, plus that should be easier to get in for I assume?

Beat Hotel is very easy to get into. Looks busy from the outside but once you get in near the front is plenty of room.

Yeah went there for I think Bicep B2B Simian in 2015, and figured this out pretty quickly. Same as most tents really.

Thursday is shaping up to be a great one. Just a shame Call Super clashes with Hunee - two names I know and like at the same time is a rare thing.

Afternoon, team

My eyes are hurting. I have, so far, populated most of the Thursday-Sunday sheets for my personal night-time quest. All subject to re-jigging over the next three weeks (only THREE WEEKS!), but as it stands, my (night-time) dance line-up is looking like:

Thursday
Might do a bit of Skream (I know, but I'm struggling early evening)
Then I quite like the look of James Monro in the Glade Lounge (great venue too). Nice and tech-trancey
Digweed?
Seth
on Blues?

Friday
Things start to get smoother here.
Hessle/DJ Tennis B2B Moscoman
Blawan (set of the weekend, obviously)
Shed on Genosys
(half an hour of Dusky?)
Quite fancy Radioactive Man in Jagz' or could just stick with Norman Nodge

Saturday
Really haven't looked at the bands issues yet, but would love to see Placid on Genosys
Jon Hopkins on Arcadia (SOOOO excited about this. Has the potential to be a legendary set)
Feel My Bicep - up to Stonebridge for an hour
Heidi on Genosys
Paranoid London (hour in Meat Rack)
Steffi &Virginia on Genosys

Sunday
Seth in LBHQ
Jackmaster B2B Jamie Jones in LBHQ
Kevin Saunderson on Genosys
Not sure - Felix again to finish. He was really good closing Genosys last year; much more tech than some of his stuff

Any thoughts, my lovelies?

I'll happily take any pointers and recommendations from you lot as you know what I like...

:)

Paranoid London in The Meat Rack could get very very sweaty

Is there a separate queue/entrance or is there a single way in for NYCD and Meat Rack.

Really fancy Paranoid London in the Meat Rack after Heidi.

Saturday is stellar.

    • Personally if it was me now, I would be grabbing a green camping ticket with the knowledge closer when I've refreshed that I can still choose general if I want to....you can't do the opposite!    I would say if you are happy to watch your headliners and big bands further back to be able to see who you actually plan to later then yes it is fine. Its a much difference experience to any other festival especially food wise and camping surrounds.    Once you're in the arena as well you're not going back unless you've got a gap. If I go again I'll be going with the option of not trying to push the front and enjoying further back as you actually put too much pressure on it than the time take away can forget to enjoy other acts.
    • No complaints about the sound. We were like 2nd set of steps facing stage right in like the middle row.
    • On the whole then, yay or nay...I've had a look on festivals united and there's people who seem converted by Rock Im Park, I can imagine it might be different if it was a washout as RaR is tarmac.   The hotel side would be more to convince the non campers if it's an option. On my first visit to rock am ring we were shuttled into the area where you could stick the car next to the tent which was fantastic as it meant zero lugging of camping gear.
    • An interesting thing this. Having seem them several times (some of their gigs veer into back catalogue niche territoty), I partly agree they arent Pyramid material (theough modern defeinition of 'bangers' although I could see them headlinging the Other stage) I can't think of another festival in the world that they couldn't headline - Reading, IoW, BST, Rock Wercheter, Roskilde, etc etc.
