I really hope they will be playing this year. if they had played last year I think that would have been ten years in a row. I think I only missed one of them.  Krafty Kuts played a belting set last year witk A Skills in the glade on Sunday night of you caught that. I hope they are back this year

Haven't seen the Stantons in years would love to see them play a classics set like that 2001 EM. The new stuff just doesn't do it as much for me. Caught the first few tunes of the Plumps last year which was decent considering they went all electro for a while.

I Missed the plumps, seen them a few times. I have seen the Stantons a few times away from Glastonbury and they never quite live up to my hazy memory of watching them in the Glade. The sets they do always seem far better at Glastonbury . Maybe the try to please the masses

They played in the temple. Started with a big breaks banger. Probably only about 10 people in there but it was only just 11pm. I've since listened to these 2 mixes from old breaks dj's/producers and they all seem to be going to back to it which is great.

Midland confirmed for NYC Downlow on Twitter. Will be there for that I reckon.

When I saw that, I actually wondered if he was something to do with organising it this year, after his radio appearance with Gideon earlier in the year, but probably not, seems an obviously place to play, won't miss it for anything

Morning, lovelies.

So, I tweeted Luke Abbott yesterday regarding his new band, Szun Waves. I'll transcribe the very brief conversation as bugger only knows how I would screen shot it...

Me: @lukeabbottmusic  So Luke, my boy...Szun Waves. Glastonbury? A cryptic 'yes' will suffice. Ben x

Him: @bennyhana22

Either he got bored, was pissed, doesn't know how to tweet. Or his new band might very well be at GF2016! If yes, then surely he'll do a solo set (hopefully live...) himself. I bloody love Luke Abbott.

:)

Ben

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
    • In a 6,800-word Substack essay, external, the Clacton MP said "anti-white racism was embedded into the state", and that legislation aimed at equality was a form of "social cleansing"   .https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdjkd4mp93zo   The privileged white c**t hasn’t got a clue what racism is.
    • BBC iPlayer: Will serve as the main hub for past sets, including both recent hits and iconic archival gems. You can explore the BBC iPlayer to watch curated compilations, "Best of Glastonbury" recaps, and on-demand replays of historic headline performances. [1, 2, 3] TV Broadcasts (BBC Two & BBC Three): The channels will air dedicated compilation shows. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
