The crap thing about it is that it results in those from the UK not being able help international registered folk on T day and vice versa as far as I make out (someone can correct me on this if they know better)

Nah just as the leader bookers location matches the using Debit Card or a credit card I believe!

Otherwise you could use say use international friends details entirely if you got through as its based on the registration.

Hoping to secure mine tomorrow, so Sunday will be either second chance saloon or me helping to mop up the extras from our group/any peeps off here.

Tomorrow, hang around at work until 7pm, get my bank card and registration details all saved in a Word doc ready, hope my new job are amenable to me abusing the internet so early on.

That's right. I got through in 2012 for 2013 and one of my friends was overseas. I paid his deposit on my debit card.

Later when balance was due he paid his with his credit card.

As you say, it is the lead booker who counts for deposit.

Hope I'm somewhere with decent WiFi. Up about 4.30. Try as best as I can with a tablet and a smartphone.

You lot in the UK have it easy!

Despite you posting fab pictures and swanning round fantastic countries, we'll see if we can get you that ticket. My earworm is Jarvis Cocker's 'Fatyeti took my life' when I read the T day stuff, and I've not even eaten any cheese. I need sleep.

I assume ideally they would like all transactions to be made by debit card but this is not possible for international tickets as those folk will not have UK debit cards so they allow them use credit cards but still have the vast majority of transactions via a debit card.

You can book a ticket for someone registered abroad; I have a friend who lives in Berlin and is registered there, I've booked her ticket together with mine a couple of times. She never gets near a booking page on T-day, so not sure whether it would work the other way round (so much for anecdotes about it being easier to book from abroad). I always paid the balance for both of us with my UK debit card in April, no problem.

Trying for coach tonight for 30 people, five groups of six.

Then Sunday, getting up if I can, got a party to goto. And trying on a slow broadband connection. If that is the case, hoping that the other three groups of six are successful on wifi connections and get tickets.

Through bad planning (or good - depends which way you look at it) my wife and I will be sitting by a pool in Turkey on Sunday morning with various internet connected devices in hand.

Luckily they are two hours ahead, so a leisurely breakfast should see us nicely set up at 11.00 am for the ticket bun fight. Two daughters in two different locations in the UK will be trying too, so we are hoping to be successful.
