I reckon they will pull a massive crowd, not sure if it's gonna be Rolling Stones territory but should be pretty decent....it will be interesting who else is headlining Friday tbh

I can imagine the Foo's will draw a lot of 'they should be good craic, I'll go if there's nothing else I fancy' folks, like me. So it'll be interesting who is up against them.

I can see Foo Fighters pulling a bang average crowd. Can also see Kanye West drawing a huge crowd, with a lot of folk going for the curiosity factor.

Nah, the Foos are about as big as it gets for a festival crowd, excluding heritage acts. Kanye is far too divisive to even get close to huge.

Mmm. I mean I don't think it's wholly likely but I wouldn't say it won't happen. They're MOR enough that a lot of casual music fans would be happy enough popping along to them for a pleasant jolly, especially if there's nothing especially spectacular elsewhere.

Bit silly predicting Pyramid crowd sizes until we at least know who's headlining the Other anyway though.

EDIT: as has been said.

fair play man, i take your point.

i don't think anyone has had numbers well above 100k to be honest. and i don't think the foos are gonna be the first

The Rolling Stones can't have been far off? I remember sitting on my mates shoulders not long before they were due on and looking back at the field, I've never seen anything like it

Yeah I reckon the Stones are the only band I have seen at glastonbury to have cracked 100k

That year they increased the size of the field and it was still chock full

They extended the field for the Stones and it seemed pretty full, front to back and they also had an extended break from the sub. The only comparable crowd i've seen was Stevie Wonder, which made me look like a dick because i insisted to all my lot that there was no need to get there early because it was so easy to get close at the start of Blur the previous year. We got there for the start of Faithless and ended up watching from what felt like the next county over.

oooooooooooh, they've had some blinders them Gallagher boys ....

I'll treat you like a queen,

I'll give you strawberries and cream,

Then your friends will all go green,

For my lasagne ,,,,

....... I think keats will rest easy

I'm sorry but I'm not even an oasis fan, i liked one song ("cigarettes and alcohol") until i heard the song it was ripping off, but if lyrical standards are supposed to be held on a similar level to most classic poetry (particularly someone like Keats) then every lyricist in history would be pretty shite other than Nick Drake.

I get you're kinda hyperbolising a bit, but c'mon, the Roses, whilst pretty classic and I loved their debut about a year or two ago, are not the most inspiring band lyrically, they've got some great tunes but neither the Roses nor Oasis were breaking particularly big ground in terms of their lyrics and I could easily point out some fairly uninspired/not exactly poetic Roses lyrics:

Have you seen her have you heard
The way she plays there are no words
To describe the way I feel
How could it ever come to pass
She'll be the first she'll be the last
To describe the way I feel
The way I feel
I mean, don't get me wrong or anything, great tune, one of my favourite Roses songs, but they were on a similar level to Oasis lyrically, nothing "profound" or "poetic", just fairly catchy and usually better (than Oasis) tunes.

oh it was insane crowd for the Stones, scary level and to me the only one I've personally see anywhere close was Dolly but still think Stones pipped it

The Stones defiantly pulled over 100k, I'm sure the Chemical Brothers done it one year too. The Roses would be within touching distance of 100k surely? Also Dolly pulled more people than a lot of headliners I have seen on the pyramid

I was there for snoop, no way was it half as crowded as Paul Simon or the Stones, not even close.

I was there for Paul Simon and did't reckon it was that crowded. Stood in loads of space well in front of the tree for that one.

I was a the back near the ice cream truck and considering people were writing them off they pulled a decent crowd and a lot seemed to know their songs too...

Me & the fella quite enjoyed them tbh

    • €225 plus fees (as a 2026 ticketholder and with Revolut) is a crazy good deal.
    • I don't think PJ has as much broad appeal in the UK as GNR has. Rock listeners will know Alive and Jeremy so on, but which songs would a random person off the street know? With GNR you have Welcome To The Jungle, Sweet Child O Mine and Paradise City to name a few.
