I'm a bit of a lurker but spoke to The View and Pete Doherty's manager last night in Glasgow, who told me Taylor Swift was the last Glastonbury headliner and The Stone Roses getting back together is nonsense, make of that what you will..

Well the view should know.

And Dohertys manager?

Hope so.

Would be a shite headliner, but could well be a possibility

I agree. She was my very first guess for Sunday headliner based on her name being around more than usual, doing a few gigs I believe in UK this summer, think it's ten years since she was meant to headline too. Changed my mind cause didn't think she was big enough tho, that's hard to determine tho

So it's just been worked out that if Neil is right and it is coming in April the only days during balance week we can get it are the 2nd and the 7th.

Either we are getting it just before 30th/31st, those two days during... or after the payment window!

Surely the festival would make even a small announcement before the payment window closes!

Yeah it's 10 years since she had to drop out so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that she'd be brought in.

Back then she was coming off a string of huge hits and it still would've been awful.

I remember she played during the day at my first ever festival, Feile, in 1995 in Cork. Back in the gold hotpants era maybe.

Every time she swung her backside around the crowd surge was crazy.

Not sure what that adds to the discussion!

If the guy who posted it was right - Palma Violets knew that Kanye was headlining the saturday

From what I can remember after Kanye was announced the guy said Palma Violets also said Fleetwood Mac were headlining the Sunday

They would not release the lineup on April 1st.. no way

Unless you want to see loads of people on facebook claiming that the lineup is Glastonbury's joke with taylor swift at the top

it won't come out april 1st... i'm sure of it. Stupid marketing and they never release the lineup on holidays/known days of events.

April Fools' day ends at midday but I doubt they'd care either way. It's still a business day.

Even in the evening it's just a foolish thing to do - I can't see them doing it and I doubt i'l be persuaded otherwise unless it actually happens.

Like two of the headliners plus the sunday legend plus a fair few self-confirms?

The self-confirms haven't been officially confirmed by the festival yet. Last year most of them found themselves on the lineup page but they haven't this year.

So it's not really like that - I doubt most people going even know about the self-confirms, not everybody goes on here.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
