They don't seem to do proper stadium tours like other big acts - just big shows in one, maybe two places. I do agree it will have been a throw away comment but then again they did some big shows to celebrate their 10th anniversary so 20th will probably get some too. Dave might have said some more tonight I guess.

You're not very good at cliché-headliner bingo, are you?

I'll raise you a Coldplay. :P

Except no-one cries out for Coldplay to headline every year. They just do every so often, whether anyone wants them to or not!*

*Admittedly, they went down well last time.

i'd still like to know who is this "Prince" everyone talks about....... hes rumoured every year and never makes an appearance, i can only assume he is a myth..........

Background character from the 1989 Batman film who has built up a cult following.

I thought someone said before that a wembley date would rule them out?

I think it was more that a week of Wembley gigs, as Dave Grohl said they'd do, would rule them out as promoters wouldn't want them doing Glastonbury as well as that. Tickets will sell pretty quickly for those two gigs though so it wouldn't be too much of a problem for them to play Glastonbury. Saying that, I wouldn't be surprised to see them add a third date.

I'd still say both are more likely for IOW, but worth posting here anyway.

matey who runs IoW is now trying his hardest to not book headliners who are also doing big London shows - it hits his ticket sales too much.

That doesn't mean he won't book foos (if those shows are true), but it does mean he'll probably try to not book them (what he actually does will depend on who is available, of course).

You think these dates at wembley are accurate as it's hardly a tour

    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
    • Not at all impressed with Polanski saying "noone should be barred from public life" wrt the Tory neo-nazi. I really don't think "no nazis in politics" should be an excessive standard.
