Andy has answered 'you never know' to a question on whether there will be any Dance bands this year.i realise this means nothing but thought I'd mention it.

Anyway, excuse my dance crossover ignorance, is there anyone other than Prodigy, Pendulum and chase and status who come into this category?

I know Modestep and Tek-One have a lot of crossover

Went to the Slipknot/KoRn tour tonight. It was perfect, everything about it was incredible. Actually ended up meeting Fieldy and Head from KoRn afterwards in a weird turn of events.

Waiting in the lobby of the arena afterwards and some American guy walks up and asks if we want to meet KoRn. Turns out he is their tour manager and the band is filming a documentary and they want some footage of them with the fans. So we go along, and out come the guys from the band and we have a chat with them, shake hands and got given some guitar picks by Head. Everyone else is getting photos (there was about 25 fans there) but me and my friends had all left our phones in the car so that we didn't lose them during the gig. So they call the tour manager over, he gets his phone out, takes our picture with them and then emails it straight to us to make up for us not having our phones with us. It was so surreal and awesome, and I apologise if nobody cares but it was something that I never expected to happen and I'm pretty made up about it :)

Great story - always nice to hear about a band giving a damn about their fans.

I did Korn and Slipknot after racing a 24 hour mountain bike race and having no sleep for basically 2 days. I drank some beer in the car on the way there, in a pub beforehand and in the arena. I felt like I was floating in an awesome kaleidoscope. My surreal out trumps yours :)

Half of Modestep have been replaced & I think are due a new album in the near future from what I gathrt on facebook.

Tek-One are a pretty heavy live/DJ combo. Played Soni & supported Enter Shikari on tour.

Subgiant.

I Am Legion which is a joint venture between Foriegn Beggars & Noisia.

Feed Me.

I'd say off the top of my head: Knife Party, Chase and Status, Prodigy, Feed Me, Dillon Francis (maybe), Skrillex (I'm 50/50 about him although he obviously worked with Korn), Kill The Noise, Chemical Brothers?, Fatboy Slim maybe?, Deadmau5?, Excision, Datsik and obviously Pendulum. Be it the full live show or just the DJ set. Feel free to agree or disagree but that's just what I'd hazard a guess at from what's on my phone.

    • Maybe you need a groovy mayor who can get you the money.   Anyway, looks like mayors going to get a whole load of fiscal devolution and greater powers...so best everyone gets one, a decent one, and get a load of Madchesterism.

    • Another great weekend with family and friends.  We spend most of our time between Obelisk, and second stage due to having young children.  Overpass, Florence Road, Nathan Evans, David Byrne and Alex James were the highlights for me.  Quite enjoyed a dance to Gok Wan on the Saturday too.   Certainly feeling the Latitude blues this week and looking forward to next year.   Also looking forward to all the predictions for next year in the 2027 chat.   Hope everyone had a great festival.
    • How much is Burnham's success down to Manchester getting a shitton of investment for public transport infrastructure?   There's no doubt he did the work, but the money dumped into Manchester for him to achieve that was huge - the most of any infrastructure project outside London ever. Did that need a mayor, or just the money?
