Frankly Mr Shankly
And it lists him as a '20th anniversary performance', so I presume he's playing with the revolution doing the purple rain album anniversary thing- odd that in May it's 3rd Eye Girl. Mr.Tease
The Revolution aren't back together as far as I know & unless anything has changed drastically over the past few years that's unlikely to change.
kalifire
It was a large, significant facebook group, I think. They put up then hastily took down an announcement about The Revolution reforming to play some key dates. Nothing official, as far as I'm aware. SloopJohnB
I wonder if Prince will be announced when (or if) he sells out his arena tour tomorrow? Clutching at straws!
Frankly Mr Shankly
There were some articles a few days ago, regarding him signing a new deal with WB, and regaining control of his recordings in time to mark the anniversary of Purple Rain. Then some sort of tweeted about the Counter Revolution or something. Edited May 1, 2014 by Frankly Mr Shankly

A Guy Called Matt
I thought the story was that there would be some anniversary shows with The Revolution... I seem to remember reading it somewhere
math125
It briefly appeared on the Revolutions FB page a week or so ago and then got taken down a while later.

dimus
I've not said differently. :)I'm getting at the fact that he ain't that popular today. His fans from back in the day have moved on, as pop fans always tend to do and non-pop fans tend not to do.

Yesiamaduck
Welp that proved Neil wrong. Prince as I've always said has fans all over the musical spectrum and I have a feeling his perspective on him has been largely influenced by who listened to Prince whilst he was growing up. TheSeventhOne
I must admit I didn't think he'd sell out with 3EG at those prices. Perhaps I've read so much of Neil's biased guff on here that it's actually starting to seep into my subconscious.
formed a band
not that popular apparently.... based on a low turn out for that rather spontaneously announced mcr gig??

FloorFiller
seems see tickets is releasing batches of tickets sporadically - 'tickets unavailable' one second and then refresh the page and there they are. seems to be selling very well though. knew the standing tickets would go immediately but didn't expect the higher priced tickets to sell so well
Morse Code
This is just silly. 1 - Prince will sell out these gigs. 2 - Prince won't be playing Glastonbury. 3 - Prince has lots of fans who will pay these prices. 4 - Lots of people don't like Prince. and they won't pay these prices. I'm am 100% confident of all points above with maybe the exception of point 2, of which I am 99.99% sure about.
Jakkkkobz
Fecks sake, did not expect demand to be so high. Need to see him again after Shepard's Bush which was out of this world.
