I also emailed the office as I am hoping to visit the site this weekend and this was the response:

"We do allow walking access to the site, as long as there are no events going on at the time, and this weekend is fine.

We just ask that you obey the country code by closing gates behind you and respecting the environment and its wildlife. And please also be aware that we are a working farm so watch out for vehicles and livestock."

I was at the site yesterday and there were no signs of the fence going up.

There were quite a few people on site doing work though. Saw a couple of diggers between pyramid and williams green and some work being done on the toilet areas nearest worthy farm

Well my email said that it's not advisable to walk around the site at the moment due to the machinery currently being used. They asked me to send them some dates to see if they recommend a certain one. I've said that I've just heard from other people that they have been advised to stick to the public footpaths etc. Bit weird that they're telling one person one thing and others something different.

  • 2 weeks later...

I think somebody here had an email from the site office saying the fence is going up during the first week in May which could be this week or next, but the same email said they couldn't walk through the site when they clearly can via public footpaths until the site is closed completely, which wouldn't be now. I wrote that off as a dodgy email, so I'd be surprised if work started on the fence until towards the end of the month, but I'd also be excited!

I've written a script to download the latest images. Be warned, it relies on my computer being on and me having remembered to actually turn my computer on, but as of right now, it's collecting all the latest images.

It's pretty basic, it doesn't create a video or anything fancy (at least not yet), but the images are there and we can see things taking shape!

I might put it up on a proper site later, time permitting.

I visited the site a year ago this coming Monday and the skin was going on the Pyramid and they'd almost entirely built the structure of the west holts stage.

The other stage had a base as well.

So wouldn't be surprised if things started moving this week.

Exciting times.
