When I have a clash and have seen one of the bands before I almost always see the other. So although I know more Pixies than Metallica the fact I have already seen them at a festival (Benicassim - I forget which year) means I will definitely be at the Pyramid on Saturday.

Easy one for me having seen Pixies 3 or 4 times (the last time being last November) and having never seen Metallica and unlikely to pay for a gig just to see them :)

Oh, and was 2nd row for Bryan Ferry a few months ago too so that also makes it easier. His female drummer was awesome :D

It's a shame if this happens as I would have given Metallica a little go. Having said that, seen em twice without trying to and I do love Pixies. Bit gutted about the potential Bryan Ferry clash as I love Roxy Music but I have to say Dexy's were pretty dull at Electric Picnic, sing-a-long 'Eileen' aside.

Scuse the light ignorance, think metallica is an awful addition personally, however if so which stage is it likely? Again I don't see the appeal and wondered what the outcry for a big slot would be ya get me?

Pixies for me barring clashes...

Metallica for me. Saw Pixies In Benicassim when Kim was still in the band and when they weren't pedalling a substandard set of new tracks masquerading as an album. I'm also much less likely to ever see Metallica again at either their own gig or a festival because I cannot stand arena gigs and I would never consider going to the likes of Sonisphere or Download. It's a shit clash though if it happens cos I love them both.

I prefer Pixies, but I'll be at Metallica as I'm seeing Pixies the following week. Also, while I like Metallica, they're not a band I'd shell out to see in their own right, so a festival is the only place I'm gonna see them really.
