There does seem to be a certain amount of gaming going on.

At the start of the week, Glasto seeing who will pay their deposits based on it just being Glasto alone

Then at the end of the week, releasing some lineup (with a TBC!) to see what difference that makes.

I wonder if the numbers are low this year?

Congrats....

I'm not going for good reason too. My wife n I didn't manage to get a f*cking ticket!!

So I'm ignoring all of this chat and going on holiday instead.

We decided that we would have to be out of the country while G was on if we are unable to go - and so we will be.

You can all take your (what to me looks like a ...) bloody superb line-up and stick it!! Am well jell.

So gutted (and not, at the same time) we won't be there this year enjoying it all with you lot!

At least 15 in this line-up release that would have been must-see's for me.

Enjoy all.

I know I'm not going for good reasons (baby due in July) but that's a good enough line-up to make me green with envy

I'm shocked at how many bands announced I want to see... usually the first announcement has a smattering of acts I like and a lot of mainstream fodder that I don't personally enjoy... seems to be the polar opposite this year and I couldn't be happier :D

Really happy with the lineup, at least 30 on there I'd happily go watch and about 10 that are more must-sees. I'm especially enjoying seeing that a lot of the people whinging about it on twitter look like the 'I just came to take selfies' brigade so hopefully they all put their tickets back into the pot.

Wilko Johnson, John Grant, Rodrigo y Gabriela, DAPTONE SUPER SOUL REVIEW (basically Sharon Jones and Charles Bradley, I'm assuming), Phosphorescent, Four Tet, Midlake, The Wailers, Goldfrapp, Pixies, Massive Attack, Arcade Fire, Elbow, The Black Keys, Robert Plant, DOLLY FUCKING PARTON - what a line up.

The people pressing buttons, ringing people and getting contracts signed at Worthy Farm (or wherever they work) should be feel very proud for managing to pull this lot together. Guessing they'll all be playing on multiple stages at exactly the same time though so I'll likely only see half a song from each. Should be an amazing weekend.

All we need now is Cliff Richard and Moz duetting on the Park Stage (like they're undoubtedly going to do in NYC) to ruin it all. Perhaps Prince could play guitar for them. :-D

    • Given the assumptions and little bits around Madonna, that BST and Paris post is probably right (few weeks later than the original post).   Just adds to the speculation that - they thought they had Madonna, and now they don't.   I can see what's gonna happen here - they end up booking Oasis and Fontaines for 2028. I don't get a ticket, and have to get out of the country + delete all socials.   That would end me if it happened and I wasn't there.
    • Looking at other Superstruct festivals this year, The Prodigy haven’t played Tramlines yet, and it’s been a while since Two Door Cinema Club have.   Those two seem likely headliners on how they tend to rotate bands.   Fontaines DC would be incredible but possibly a little too big now, Geese are having a good rise, would be great as a newer band to headline

    • I’ve secured tickets once since 2007. I’ve done 11 festivals in that time.  Thankfully I have friends with better luck!
