I think it's total bollocks that Metallica were originally booked to headline Other, but have been moved to Pyramid because Prince wasn't available. How fucking big is their headliner budget supposed to be that they could get Metallica *and* Prince?

Well, I don't think it's total bollocks.

It probably helps them afford stuff when a band comes asking only to be told "we'd love you, but we can't pay big bucks....".

Say for example the plan was to have a Pyramid top three of Prince, Jack White, Paolo Nutini, and an Other top two of Metallica, Pixies, and then Prince bails leaving Metallica bumped up to headline Pyramid, do we reckon they'd bump Pixies to headline Other (as they obviously originally thought that was the stage they were most suitable for), or move Paolo to headline Other and move Pixies to third on Pyramid to avoid silly clashes (despite him being more suited to Pyramid)? Hopefully they'd plump for the latter, but going by the poster I'd guess the former.

yeah looks like they've gone for the easy option and just bumped Pixies up. i'm sure it's not as simple as just saying to an artist 'right you're headlining Other now instead of third on the Pyramid'
