what exactly is the point of those two-finger 'rawk' gestures (is there one)

It's a defence machanism. If you don't do it whenever you hear a chugging guitar riff, the Devil will take you and you'll start listening to Disclosure.

My missus just told me she'd rather watch Jake Bugg as shes seen Metallica twice already, I had to check her head to see if she was running a high fever, incredible ! I basically told her to fuck off to Jake Bugg and I'll go solo for metallica, no way im missing it.

I'll see you there then, I'll be the other bloke running around all excited and scratching his nuts!

I reckon enter the sandman sounds much better. Lyrics are not their strong point I feel.

Compared to Jake Bugg they are , all is songs are basically him whining "it's shit" while making obvious observations which is supposed to be social commentary. Surely it's a joke he is above Pixies

been listening to Metallica all day and it's got me so psyched up for it! i've been listening to them for months in preparation but now that they've finally been announced it just seems that more exciting

they could pretty much play anything from their first five albums and i'd be happy. hell, they could throw in some of the stuff from the following albums and it'd be amazing

"SAIINNTTTTTTT ANGGERRRRR ROUND MY NECK"

Try and watch the whole thing without wanting to throw something violently across the room

What an absolute twat. I can pick so many holes in pretty much everything he says. He says he wants metal people like him to be taken seriously, and he repeatedly refers to Glastonbury as 'full of hippies'.

The plastic WWE wrestling belt in the background says it all

The crazy thing is we watched a bit of Jake Bugg at from the back of the pyramid last year before our yearly trip to Lulus , the boring fucker sent my missus to sleep, she napped all the way through his set while I shared a few of my funny ciggies with a few randoms sat near me.

that fella reminds me of myself when i was 12 or 13 years old, proud of the fact that he listens to a relatively different sub genre of music and sitting on your high horse because you listen to bands that most dont know, then eventually get so caught up in your image of being a metal head and not selling out that the music becomes second. I always found that in my circle of friends that listen to metal music, they always presumed that because its away from the mainstream that they have a a more valid opinion when i comes to music.

Im so glad im not 13 anymore.

Anyway I was watching a few videos earlier today and reckon blackened would be the best opener for Metallica, any thoughts?

yeah i used to be like that when i was younger. thank god i snapped out of it. what a ridiculous way of thinking

i doubt they'll open with Blackened - not well known enough / a bit too heavy if they're wanting to win over the crowd. but i sure do hope it's somewhere in their set. what a song
