Hang on!! If they move Shaun Keaveney from the breakfast slot I will be gutted. Great show, great way to start the day and Shaun is absolutely a lovely lovely guy. Somewhere I've got a picture of the two of us together at last years Glastonbury. I said hello and introduced myself and he could not have been warmer. Lovely guy who stopped and chatted, introduced me to his brother and his friend, genuinely lovely guy.

6music has a much greater connection to the festival than radio 1 does.

However, its highly unlikely to be G related. Possibly some small G info however. It does seem to be the speculated Manc 6music relaunch mainly.

Yeah. In 2010, it was leaked by an over enthusiastic journo and then on Guardians site, in 2011, I think G largely had control over it, and 2013, Zane Lowe announced it but the website put it up at the same time.

Thanks, never new that. Surprises me a lot as well because it really isn't a line up announcement that needs much exposure to get noticed because they have nothing to sell, unlike R+L etc.

It won't be glastonbury related.

IT was March last year and announced on Radio 1 as mentioned before. The BBC spend millions on covering the festival so with a higher number of people listening to Radio 1 I can't see them letting a digital radio channel be the first to break news.

It's blatantly nothing to do with Glasto, or any festival. It's something to do with the fact that they're in Salford, they keep dropping hints about the NW.

At a pinch, they're announcing Elbow as headliners, but I doubt it.

It's a 6Music festival in the Victoria Warehouse over two weekends at the end of Feb start of March.

This could be an interesting festival. Let a couple of specialist DJ's curate a stage (Gilles Peterson hint hint), alongside the main stage and you're onto a winner

nah i think today's announcement was supposed to be Damon but got moved forward to yesterday. third headliner will come later in the year (hopefully with a few more lower acts)

No, Latitude trailed that it would be the 2nd headliner announced today, they brought it forward a day to avoid this, will probably get 3rd headliner in March when usually make the big announcement and then the 4th headliner (Sunday lunchtime) about a month before.

My money is on an equivalent of Radio 1's Big Weekend but a 6 Music equivalent focussed on beanies, northerners and Guy Garvey instead of tight jeans, southerners and Trevor Nelson.

If anyone wants any tips for lottery numbers just let me know.
