It doesn't even sound like Coldplay, it's more like one of those awful Kodaline rip-off acts that fester at the bottom of Isle of Wight line ups

So the new Mumford sounds like a generic Folk Rock song?... How strange.

I also think Panic! couls easily play a slow lower.

Should play a slot lower - Yes, I'd put them as a 6/7th band

Could play a slot lower - Doubt it, fifth downwards band are often poorly placed

I expect PTV to play 5th as they're the same band, err I mean size,as Sleeping with Sirens who played 5th last year and I'm sure the organisers will ignore how pitifully small their crowd was.

FR Crowds have been bigger than that!

sounds embarrassingly like Coldplay / every other MOR band going at the moment. could be by literally anybody. i hate Mumford & Sons but at least you could tell it was them before when that same banjo line kicked in. people will eat it up though. song will be huge

I like both Mumfers and Coldplay and think this is a boring monotone record. Not even Coldplay wannabe's I'd say just generic record label desired indistinguishable pop music. Yeah love them or loath them at least Mumfers first 2 albums were different to what other people were doing, that new song is just dreaful. Can you imagine it being played out to headline crowd for pete's sake, I'd rather go and see Limp!

Two friends of mine saw Mumfords at Oslo Hackey tonight and said they were really impressed. They also mentioned that Believe is one of the weaker tracks by some margin, people were apparently gasping at how good some of the other new songs were

They're playing the same venue again tomorrow night

I am one of the two, to my surprise the album was brilliant. It wasn't so much gasps, my phone was running out of battery so I rushed for verbs n shit. More general astonishment (there really is no good verb) mid song and such when they would pick up the pace. If you don't like Mumfords because of Mumfords then you obviously won't like any of it but it is sounding very very solid actually.

Think The Joy Formidable meets a bit of The National meets Manchester Orchestra.

    • Is she any bigger than last time? Still firmly a sub for me. Not sure the interest would be as strong for her headlining.

    • My wife works for a music company, they have an allocation already.  They run a ballot for it early next year.
