Has anyone else noticed the news post on the R/L site about the NME awards? Goes on about 2015 acts been there mentioning Royal Blood, Jamie T, Run The Jewels & then has a large paragraph about Suede and their time at R/L. I know they won godlike genius but their involvement in the article seems odd or maybe I'm reading way to far in to it.

Wouldnt surprise me , i remember the Biffy album review before they were announced for 2013 , NME talked about how great a certain song would sound in front of x amount of people at reading in the summer

or i could of been reading to much into it as well

I think they'd be a brilliant sub for libs, if we got the prodigy & suede it'd making up for having 3 awful headliners

Suede wouldn't sub R&L and most likely won't play.

I would place them as NME headline or alternatively 3rd down but 3rd spots are all taken by the looks of it, personal opinion. But like you said very unlikely they will play R&L. Edited by kurtwba

Haven't posted in this thread for a while but I just couldn't sit back and watch while people slated KFC, bloody northerners

What do you expect, they eat tyre inner tube and lumps of baked flour, and think poor dental hypiene is a working class badge of honour.

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
