For fucks sake don't be an asshole

this forum has got a bad reputation for treating newbies like shit, he's not being a moron he's new. I know a fair few people who asked me who the Libertines were when they got announced for T, so he's far from a moron to not know a band which haven't released any material for over 10 years.

Doesn't mean he/she can't read though.

Hopefully rebel sound do a later set or they make it so they don't clash with any of the headliners because personally I love all the headliners, by in reality they could really clash with any of the headliners.

This announcement has destroyed my summer. I had kind of resigned to Download and Leeds but I feel unable to attend a festival that books one trick wonder posh boys taking the piss out of a genre they have no affinity with as a headliner. <breathes> FFS I might have to go to Europe now instead. Damn those Bumfords.

I saw this lineup and remembered about you asking if there were any good European rock fests in July.

They're above Catfish on the poster doe.

Don't think the order means that much tbh.

The 1975 were before Courteeners and YMAS last year on the Feb announcement poster (albeit on the same line)

Edit: And we don't really know what they class as a higher slot out of NME sub/3rd or Dance headilner. Catfish could be 3rd NME and I'd probably class Dance headline as at least as big as that slot.

    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
    • Dream Blink day    Blink - Turnstile - Neck Deep - The Story So Far
    • The vibe for Avalanches was spectacular, but i totally understand not wanting to wait in a queue for however long it was.   I had to miss Ethel Cain to queue. Bit annoying, but I had never seen the Avalanches before (either live or DJ set) and it was every bit as joyful as I hoped.   Great little stage, either way.
