Nice try Will but we know you listen to about five new albums a year and the rest of the time it's Muse and your dad's CD collection.

Actually yeah I was just thinking of the top 4 really. St. Vincent's album was actually one of the 5 albums I listened to last year, though! I even own the album - gone wild!

Half empty? I would think they're too big for the NME. They're on the verge of arenas really. Not the sort of band that gets booked for the NME stage anyway.

True, but they're not really that popular with th. R&L clientele. They had a pitiful crowd at Leeds in 2013. It's like Black Stone Cherry are an arena band, but they'd play to a half empty NME tent (granted Deftones will be a bit more popular than BSC at R&L, but it's the best comparison I could think of off the top of my head). I still think they'd be 3rd down if they play, but I just can't think of a Metallica sub (and my suggestion wasn't even serious).

on the verge of arenas!? really?! i'd think they've got more of a cult following these days than a major following - although yeah, definitely not an act to be booked for the NME stage. lost and under appreciated on the main stage forever

Yeah somebody said that their academy-ish shows sold out in a minute or two but I think I read that off someone else and never checked it.

Ah I didn't know they pulled a poor crowd. Particularly before SOAD it's not a good sign.

Yeah but it was in the most horrendous weather conditions I've ever seen at a festival. My group were considering not going to Frank Turner because it was that bad, until I convinced them otherwise. I'd say that anyone other than actual fans of the band would have been put off by the weather, so that there were no casual attendees.

By the end of that evening I was probably more miserable than I've ever been in my life. Staying out in that to watch Green Day instead of CHVRCHES and Crystal Fighters was an abysmal decision.

I remember the weather being really bad but it didn't stop Deftones putting on one of the best sets of the weekend and it was just mainly being fans of the band (made it better though personally)

They could stay third down...

Metallica

BMTH

Deftones

Rise Against

BMTH aren't a sub and Rise Against are playing Download so I doubt they'll play R&L

If Jake Bugg can sub- BMTH can, especially after another successful album.

When I listen to drown, I can't help but think it'll top Sempiternal; if it does, I wouldn't be surprised to see them headline festivals in 2016.

    • The weekend in general has been amazing, but today was especially good.   The top three of Ice Nine Kills played, Bas Omens and Wntee Shakei, unsipable
