If T think they could get away with One Direction headlining they would book them but there would be such a backlash they wouldnt and there is no way they could play lower they are too big so we might have dodged a bullet on that one

The Wanted were massive when they played a shite King Tuts slot. If T offered enough they'd take a smaller slot I reckon. They wouldn't offer though.

frankblack's hissy fit amused me greatly though. It's always nice to see someone act like they are the police of music tastes.

Aye there's room for everyone, a bit of balance is all that is needed. They've kind of forgotten that the last year and 2012 wasn't much better. At least McBusted actually play instruments and sing live as far as I can tell. Be good to kill some time in the afternoon but if that's what is considered as mainstream music festival upper running order act nowadays then my time at these festivals is coming to an end. Happy Hogmanay everyone, 6.5 months to go.

There is enough room and stages for all types of acts at T, McBusted have sold a ton on this upcoming tour, no idea how but they have, so organisers will obviously see them as an act that can appeal, even if its just the daytrippers, they will most likely be nothing more than 4/5 down main at worst anyway - if they even were to play.

What cos your girlfriend likes them? :P

There is no way McBusted are playing live at their children in need "performence" and I've always had suspisions about both acts before they merged.

If your over the age of 15, you really should have listened to proper music by now.

Umm no actually, my girlfriend loves them therefore I have been to see them live with her and can confirm they do play live which was my point.

Not seen that so they may well have been but usually they do play live and on programmes like children in need perfomers don't often play live.

We both like a variety of different music but thanks for your opinion.

Id like to think we'd get a fair bit of the lineup. Don't they usually tend to leave one or two NME headliners till later? Excuse my memory wasn't David Guetta not announced until later last year? Wasn't he the last NME headliner to be announced?

    • I guess we'll just have to wait until videos of the shows go up, but the fact that the standing is also greyed out still suggests to me that those sections just sold out out before the others and a blue block just be like 3 tickets left, it's still not concrete proof they never went on sale and if they were never on sale why would they not make it even, if 414 wasn't on sale then you'd think 409 wouldn't be either
    • Selfish, but I've done the 2 days I'm there.. i'll try to do the rest through the day but might get beaten to it as it's editable....    https://clashfinder.com/s/ape2026/
    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
