Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds: clear first. Unbelievably good set.

Portishead: second time I've seen them, second time they've been brilliant. I'm not even a huge fan, but they are a superb live band.

Elvis Costello: I've only got an hour? Better channel the Ramones and play one song straight into the next, I've got a whole bunch of classics to get through. Perfect festival set.

Goat: groovy Swedish psychedelic jazz rock.

Public Image Ltd: OK, it was the exact same set as they played supporting the Roses. But it was great.

Honourable mentions to First Aid Kit and uncle Billy Bragg.

Disappointments: Primal Scream. One of my favourite bands, I've probably seen them 10 or 12 times. That was the worst, purely because the crowd (where I was anyway) was so bad. I was inside the barrier at the front, and it felt like most people were there to get a good spot for the Stones. Zero atmosphere. Bobby obviously hated it.

Not seeing Chic, Public Service Broadcasting or Public Enemy.

In no particular order

Arctics - amazing setlist.

Rolling Stones- was nervous for them but they were unbelievable, had a decent spot too.

The Hives- wind hampered sound a bit but the frontman made the whole thing enjoyable.

Miles Kane- why was he this low down?

Dizzee- fantastic atmosphere and played some good old stuff, maybe a bit too much new stuff though.

Honourary mention for The Beat (Williams Green) on the Sunday.

Chic -- most fun i've danced to in a while.

Hobo Jones and the junkyard dogs - twice- both times brilliant.

The Beat on Sunday night- they'll never ever lose what they've had- cracking live band.

The Congos- perfect for the time of day,and the day they played.Lovely.

The Stones.

Rolling Stones - Was so special, loved it.

Arctic Monkeys - A True gig, they did glasto justice

Vampire Weekend - Amazing

Azealia Banks - I was really drunk so I really enjoyed it. Like really drunk.

Mumford and Sons - Proved to all the nay sayers they are headliners, they are a good band. Regardless of anything they put so much effort into it.

I know all my top 5 were high up acts, but this year they were great. People who didn't make the top 5 but were still good are Enter shikari, Vaccines, Fatboy Slim, Eats Everything and Alt-J (WG).

Basically I liked alot of acts.

Top 5

Chic

The Rolling Stones

Smashing Pumpkins

Kenny Rodgers

Miles Kane

Primal Scream was just dull, so flat, a thousand times better last time i saw them. Vampire weekend and elvis costello both failed to capture me. Honorable mention for The Hives who were a brilliant way to kick off the 'weekend', such a fun live band and got me right back in the mood after the 5 hours of rain on thursday
