So that's 2 certain and one unsure?

no, that's three uncertains. None are actually signed and sealed as far as i'm aware.

I believe that all three have verbally agreed to do it. Whether they're still game when the time comes to sign contracts is another thing.

Not a bad set at all. I utterly detest Fleetwood Mac, but I understand that lots of people disagree with me. Also suspect that 2014 may have especially strong headliners on some of the other stages.

On that note does anyone else think that Massive Attack have a shot at headlining the Other Stage one night? They appear to be a functional unit again and are doing a very ambitious show with Adam Curtis at the Manchester International Festival. Plus the response Portishead got can’t have done them any harm. Just a thought....

Let's be honest, every year the headliners are 'okay'. Or one is inspired and the other two unimaginative.

All this talk of "oh yeah it's got to be Led Zeppelin, Prince, Daft Punk or something has gone wrong" is all bollocks.

This is a very 2009-like set of headliners - doesn't really appeal to the kids, but who cares.

This about a good set of three as we are ever going to get.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
