The camping essentials - I've found a bargain which you all need to know about thread...

Up to full price of £325 now. I got an order in, but doubt it will be honoured. Still you never know. If it isn't I'll complain to Amazon and probably get another free month or so of Prime, so it's all good.

Let us know how it goes. It would be great if you managed to get one of those tents at that price. Wickes the DIY store had a technical error on their website once. It meant that there was something like an hour in which people could buy major expense items at a fraction of the price. They sort of honoured the agreement in that they only stopped it when people from the depots were saying to head office why are we selling £400 power tools for a £10.

Canceled :-(

Actually not too bothered as it was a punt anyway. Now to complain to Amazon to try to get some free Prime.

In some ways it's a bit of a blessing in disguise. I have four tents already. One more might finally push the missus over the edge.

Thanks for reporting back. I was also going to have a punt but came to the realisation that I just didn't need another tent regardless of price.

Hi all,

has anyone ever used one of these,

http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/Product.aspx?ProdId=178599&path=product

I'll be traveling from Ireland and this wont take up as much space as many others but is ti any good, any experience

Cheers

I did two years with something similar and have no complaints. They do cushon you against the bumps and also provide a thermal barrier to the cold. Just the thing if you have to travel part the way by plane - blow up air beds can be really heavy.

got this for glastonbury last year but have used it for many other things since, trips away etc. great to just leave your phone plugged into overnight and no need to join redicilous lines for `ee charge tents` etc its basically like the charging brick they were selling last year as the ee promo.....only this one has enough capacity to last for longer then 1-2 charges haha(at its best ive got about 5-6 charges out of it on a phone.....slightly less if charging my tablet as well) and its a good price!

Yup, this, or the Anker equivalent are great.

Takes all the pressure off, I needed to keep in touch with my wife and kids even during the debauchery..
