ticketboy69
I still like this, got it for about a tenner last year. I've been thinking about getting one of these and a pop up shower tent. Any opinions on how practical this would be? How did you use yours?
JennieT
I've been thinking about getting one of these and a pop up shower tent. Any opinions on how practical this would be? How did you use yours? I bought one of these for 2013 and it was brilliant. Didnt bother with a shower tent thou. (bikini top and shorts job lol) 3/4 filled it the night before with cold (so it wouldnt be ICE cold from the tap the next morning) then boiled a kettle on the stove. This meant it was just the right temperature for washing body and hair. Wouldnt go camping without it now. Was a little bulky to carry but very light. Well worth the money! jeffie
I've been thinking about getting one of these and a pop up shower tent. Any opinions on how practical this would be? How did you use yours? Well to be honest it was more hair washing than full on all over. It's ok, but not loads of pressure.
JennieT
Well to be honest it was more hair washing than full on all over. It's ok, but not loads of pressure. I think to trick to the pressure being good is to not fill it to the top. (i think i left a good 4 inches of air gap before putting the lid on)

Levitz
I've been thinking about getting one of these and a pop up shower tent. Any opinions on how practical this would be? How did you use yours? We've got a ring battery powered shower (takes 4 D batteries) and a pop up shower tent from decathlon last year. Was brilliant, tent really easy to pop up and down takes v little room. Boiled up some water on the stove and each person used less than half a bucket for shower (including washing my long hair). If you've got a collapsible bucket takes next to no room to pack. Pressure is pretty good too.http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B000V1UALM/sr=1-1/qid=1401837226/ref=olp_tab_all?ie=UTF8&qid=1401837226&sr=1-1http://www.decathlon.co.uk/cabin-pop-up-changing-room-hiking-hygiene-accessories-brown-grey-id_8171223.html There is a youtube video of the type of shower in action (not mine) http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-93rW33ijk0
The Pink Peril
Saw some decent looking welly socks in Poundland yesterday, the thick padded ones. Lots of different colours etc. I'll leave the price as a guessing game...

Yesiamaduck
Went to Asda and got me two of these external battery banks for £24 52000mwA storage each so should provide 2 full charges for my HTC One per pack... I could probably squeeze 5 full charges out of them combined. http://direct.asda.com/Portable-Power-Bank/000513830,default,pd.html I did some research and it appears to be just a repackaged http://www.amazon.com/PowerGen%C2%AE-5200mAh-External-Battery-Capacity/dp/B005VBNYDS/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top Which has over 1,000 reviews averaging at 4.5stars so I think I did a good purchase here. The only difference appears to be you get less cables (only USB to Mini USB provided) and no LED torch on the unit. All the other specs are identical. So for £24 you get 10,400mAh and you will end up with two devices. And if you'd gone for the one I recommended a fair few pages ago (which is but £2 more expensive) you will get 10,000mAh for £26 and just one device to carry around. http://www.amazon.co.uk/10000mAh-Portable-Dual-Port-Thunderbolt-Incredible-Black/dp/B0063AAIRG

Bexxxxx
I know we're not going to need it, but has anyone seen any cheap but good waterproof macs? Preferably the pack up small in a bag type? Yesiamaduck
So for £24 you get 10,400mAh and you will end up with two devices. Yesiamaduck
Put like that I think you're probably right. hehe I was going to get the one you recommended, I didn't put any thought into it, I was just in Asda and saw them sitting there and saw the storage and went 'ah fuck it'. I'm super lazy in nature so probably would've left it too late otherwise because I'm even too lazy to shop online ^.^ Edited June 5, 2014 by Yesiamaduck
