weaz
Innis and gun craft lager is really nice in a can but not sure how it will hold up warm or if available down south
sadimmock
I'm very partial to quite a bit of Beavertown stuf. Gamma Ray and 8 Ball are both interesting beers and Black Betty (a black IPA) is superb (although probabkly not ideal for a hot summer festival. All are availble in cans in a variety of places online (I used Ales by Mail, but there are loads of other places). Amsuingly the head-brewer is Logan Plant, son of Led Zep's Robert Plant, so it's even on theme. Edited April 4, 2015 by sadimmock
jamesrfisher
Where have people seen these suggestions - supermarkets, specialisr off licenses or online order? I get mine by mail order from the brewers. Always based on ones I've already had draught or bottle
Badlands
Tried that Thwaites Wainwrights Golden Ale tonight which someone recommended in here the other day. Lovely drop. Currently selling this in B&M for a quid a can. Picked up 4 to experiment. Gonna try one warm to get that authentic glastonbury taste. My pal from Hamburg brought a crate of Astra over with him for us in plastic bottles last year. It held its taste really well at higher temperatures. Anyone know of any ales sold in plastic bottles? Wooderson
Just found a few bottles of Founder's March '15 KBS. Mega.
RobertProsineckisLighter
If I get a ticket in the resale this I'll be getting a special brew made for me. Probably something hoppy.
morph100
If you take home brew what containers do you use to take it? Plastic bottles? Wine bag style thing? Mini Keg? Or something else?

Untz
Will get the micro brewary I have an interest in to put plastic bottles into their bottling plant. I wish I had a brewery that would brew something to my specifications in a plastic bottle. You are a very lucky man.
DJL
I thought about mini kegs and the like but just thought pouring it, when it's shaken up as carried around the site, would be a bit of an arse, particularly in big crowds? If anyone finds anywhere that does plastic bottled ale i'd definitely give that a go - I pour most of my cans into a hard plastic cup because i hate cans. RobertProsineckisLighter
I wish I had a brewery that would brew something to my specifications in a plastic bottle. You are a very lucky man. It might taste like crap out of a plastic bottle.
Tilted
We carried mini kegs around last year and the beer was fine when pouring, would definitely recommend them. Not sure about plastic bottles, the beer won't stay fresh. Anytime I've taken leftovers from working beer festivals home in plastic bottles it needs used up straight away. morph100
What different size kegs can you get?
donthaveacoolname
It might taste like crap out of a plastic bottle. The thing with plastic bottles is they are oxygen permeable do won't keep as long as glass / cans but can easily keep a month / 6 weeks just not 6+ months. The other thing can be if they are clear, the hops react to light making the beer go off but if they are kept in the dark they are fine. Drinky
BrewDog will have Punk on sale in 500ml cans in time for Glastonbury. The nearest brewery to the festival site, Wild Beer Co, have just started canning Bibble (4.2% pale) and Wild Goose Chase (4.5% Belgian pale with gooseberries). dexydexy
Beavertown for sure! delicious ales and awesome artwork. most places sell 4 cans for £10 https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beavertown-Brewery/236784039691522
phil the shrew
Slightly off topic but do are there any Glastonbury Ales on sale at the festival. Golden Chalice is a nice pint which I've had in the area and is also sold in bottles, but never seen it at the festival site
