Decent ales etc that come in cans

Has anyone ever been to small bar in Bristol? Great range of beers, lovely bar. Thoroughly recommend for those who haven't.

King Street generally has become a bit of an ale drinker's paradise of late - Small Bar, The Naval Volunteer, Beer Emporium, The King Bill...

My only gripe is that while once real ale was an unheralded cheaper and tasty alternative to lager, the 'craft beer' craze has brought it into fashion and now it's the drink of choice of the discerning hipster, and priced accordingly. It's not unusual to get stung for a fiver for a pint in some of those bars on King Street, whereas it's about £3.10 for a pint of real ale at my local, with little or no difference in quality.

Looks like it's going to be Fursty Ferret for me. You get get it easily enough from most big Tesco's and it'll do the job nicely! I remember the first time I tried it - a taste sample they were giving out in Tesco - I went an bought 12 bottles straight away and made sure I showed the lady who was handing the tasters out! She was made up! Ha.

wow never seen this in a can, love it out of the bottle though.

where do you live? I'm guessing up north.

I live in london, bought them at a (quite large) tesco.

Only got a few as they were more expensive (than old golden hen which were bigger too) last year... but saved them for the saturday/sunday when you have to really like what you're drinking.

I think last year i got them delivered - http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=275463900 only a pound each at the moment... I may be investing shortly.

Bradfield Brewery do some lovely mini-kegs.

We took some Bradfield Blonde last year, very sessionable and kept really well in the mini-keg.

Noticed Thornebridge do them so might source one or two for this year.

Fancied taking some craft stuff but doubt they'll be very palatable if the cans get warm!

I like brooklyn but i've only seen it in small cans at burger places etc. not retail - though i'm not sure it would be the best warmish..?

Where have people seen these suggestions - supermarkets, specialisr off licenses or online order?
