chic are just some band that people think it's cool to like courtesy of get lucky. nile rodgers... the second coming. but only since the daft punk album. ie. they're now 'chic feat. nile rodgers' rather than just chic.

watch the footage of 'good times' on youtube - 100 middle aged people on stage dancing. wow, so amazing.

The screens for the Monkeys really did dampen the mood. We were About halfway back and although they sounded great without the visuals it lessened the experience greatly.

After the gig finished I couldn't have even told you what type of outfit Alex Turner was wearing. He could have been in shorts and t shorts for all I knew. Made me realise that for the size of the pyramid field the big screens are vital for almost 70% of the crowd unless you are in front of the sound stage.

A good gig could have been a great one with the screens at the usual level they are for pyramid headliners but for my group it left a slight sour taste in the mouth not being able to actually see the band interact with the crowd.

hardly trolling. trolling isn't transparent. just stating an opinion. i just don't understand the obsession with chic at the moment, it has such a flavour of the month appeal. next year, forgotten again.

How can you compare the longeveity of The Arctics & Chic? No one knows how long The Arctics will be around for yet.

Back in the 70s I wonder if people thought Chic would still be around now? I am sure that no one thought John Lydon would still be turning up with great music in 2013.

The arctics are musically & lyrically talented so there is no reason why they won't be making music in some form or other for a fair few years yet.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
