Latitude 2013

It would mean going from Italy on the Wednesday to UK on the Friday, Germany on the Sunday then UK on the Wednesday. Far from impossible but you'd have thought if that was the plan they'd have pushed for playing Melt in Germany on the Friday then Latitute on the Sunday? I'm hopeful but not optimistic...

That's absolutely doable though, with a 2 day gap if they did the Friday.

I'll be pissed off if Atoms For Peace headline, give 'em a slot headlining the tent by all means, there's enough neckbeards to fill it, but don't subject the rest of us good honest folk to it.

Playing Poland on the Sat 20th July.

Bit tighter, but if they have the day off on the Thursday, Play latitude on the Fri, and then Poland and germany before another couple of days off.

I assume phoenix being second stage reading headliners makes them a lot less likely as latitude headliners?

I hope it aint Phoenix, they're piss poor. The only act on the entire R&L line-up that would be good at Latitude is Haim.

EDIT: Just noticed The Editors are on the Leeds line-up too (what the hell are they doing all the way down there?) they'd be great at Latitude.

I'm pretty sure they're not headlining Latitude.

Someone is hinting at me that two of the headliners are newer bands than you might expect. I think one of those two is Foals.

I'm still pretty sure the 3rd is Kraftwerk, tho there's the possibility that that's wrong and there's been a muddle-up because of the new sister event in Ireland, Longitude.

the suggestion made to me is that it's a newer act than them.

Alt J would be really strange. Foals, Alt J and Kraftwerk seem more of a second stage headliner line up for T in the Park rather than a major stage line up. Big comedown from last year if true!

I wouldn't say it's a big comedown.

2012 vs 2013 could be: Bon Iver = Alt J, Elbow = Foals, and Paul Weller = Kraftwerk.

And 2011: Paulo Nutini = Alt J, The National = Foals, and Suede = Kraftwerk.

Bon Iver only has two albums, as does Nutini I think, so Alt J is entirely possible.

Nah. Bon Iver is a arena size act, much bigger than Alt J. as is P.Nulti.

Elbow are much bigger than Foals as well.

I'll give you that Kraftwerk fit in size wise though, but i find it hard to concieve why a person would get a day ticket for Latitude over a day ticket for Reading to see Alt J headline.

I definitely think more people would see Alt J over Nutini, but I know what you mean.

Foals are pretty big and the only reason Elbow get such big crowds is because of "One Day Like This"

As long as there is a good undercard, and possibly alt headliner, they should still sell tickets no problem.

    • I was so lucky yesterday, disappointed of course not to see Massive Attack, but gorgeous sets from Blood Orange, Caroline, Panda Bear, and Father John Misty was a real highlight. The half of Geese i saw was mint too.   I wanted to see overmono but couldnt hack it anymore.   But now, its Friday, I'm In Love
