I think my biggest hope for tomorrow is none of the fucking shit house bands, that they cram into good spots every year, turn up so we can't have genuinely fresh bookings.

That means no Enter shakri, no crystal castles, no frank turner, no paramore, no noah and the whale, no klaxons (they're scarily over due a fucking NME headline slot!).

Please just some bands you don't normally see at UK festivals, Barenaked Ladies, Beck, Caravan Palace, spiritualized, the triumphant comeback of the vines (I wished, hope craig gets stable one day) or even a suprise Doves reunion! Just something that i havent seen ever year over the last 6 years

If enter shakari or crystal castles are announced tomorrow I'm shitting in a bag and setting it on fire on melvins doorstep, and oldie but a goodie.

They are two of my most hated bands and they've been at every Reading I've been too. In fact I've only gone to one or two festival were shakari haven't been there!

Enter Shikari play ever year, the phrase shouldn't be 'is the pope catholic?', it should be 'are enter shikari playing reading?'.

I reckon even if all of Enter Shikari died in some freak buffalo accident Melvin would book them, can see the announcement now:

Despite all of Enter Shikari dying in that tragic buffalo accident just months ago, just for you because we know you love them so much, we've pulled a few strings and with the power of holograms they will be playing a 3 hour headlining set on every stage at Reading this year!

"Thomas Arthur-Moose Mason noticed my comment regarding The Who was being discussed on the efestival forum... Absolute Radio said The Who were making an announcement tomorrow, it's probably nothing regarding the festival, but who knows (excuse the pun)"

I'm laughing because he saw us talking about it, but at least that clears up where an apparent The Who announcement came from... Maybe we can dream
