I thought the festival had announced them as being exclusive, was definitely mentioned in here

That press release of Blurs was wrong anyway, it said it was their first gig in Dublin since 1999, they played in 2003. Hardly the most accurate piece of info was it.

"Promoter John Reynolds said Blur have no other plans to play concerts in Ireland or the UK. “This is the only gig in the British Isles this year. I can categorically tell you that” he said. “They like the whole dynamic of the place. They are the perfect band to show at IMMA.”

They weren't exclusive but they specifically mentioned the UK when Dublin isn't even in the UK anyway. It's also the second time they've said no UK shows.

Was never said to be an exclusive, just seemed to be more a statement from then saying no UK shows.

There was the 'no UK festival dates' followed by the announcement that the show was a UK and Ireland exclusive show. You have to be really obliviously hopeful to think that they'll play now.

Maybe I misread it, never heard of a band playing in Ireland been an exclusive to stop then playing UK.

Plus blur have whored thenselves out to every festival accross the world for this tour so its a pretty rubbish exclusive.

Them playing in Ireland has nothing to do with the UK bit. The fact they've said no UK dates is what does.
