When people say 'I know a load of people going' do they mean the people have actually bought tickets or have just said they're off? I just find it wild that people know dozens of other people that will willingly buy a weekend ticket because of the announcement of one act.

Well i know around 15 people who bought a weekend ticket after the first announcement when they didnt like any of the bands announced. Some of them were girls who fucking love justin beiber and 1D and had never heard of any of the bands announced. I told them they should have got tickets for V but they said something like 'We're just going to get drunk not for the music.' there not even 18 so they wont be able to. i just hope they hate every minute of it.

When people say 'I know a load of people going just for...' what they actually mean is they know people who have gone 'OMG!!!!! Fall Out Boy are playing Reading!!!!! We should go. OMG!!!! Look at all these other cool bands!!! We're definitely going now!!!'

Nobody would shell out £200 just to see Fall Out Boy play for 50 minutes, then spend the rest of the weekend sat in their tent listening to Fall Out Boy on their iPod.

i very much doubt they are.

you have 3rd headliner, soad, eminem, biffy clyro, foals, deftones, fall out boy to fit into what will most likely be the top 3 of each day.

I'd be a little surprised if vampire weekend and bloc party didn't make up the other two bands to fit, and neither i see going above fob, neither will sell the tickets fob will.

think people need to realise that fob on last outing were selling venue's capable of pretty much subbing then, had they not split up, they'd have got there by now easily.

I think the only headliners that are will sell out the festival would be paramore and Linkin Park as my friends from work at hmv and family friends would be really happy pleased With such a strong line up and it makes sense as Linkin Park headline every ten years and Paramore play every one or two or 3 years and knowtice they didnt get announced for download this year? I think melvin And andy agreed a deal that Paramore can headlien r+l this year and Download next year. If Anyone doesnt agree these are the Best headliners its because They hate them imo imo and this forum doesnt represent the audience because there are millions of people who go to London + Leeds Festivals who don't use this forum imo.

    • Was volunteering at the Women’s Cricket World Cup at Southampton yesterday. Was great fun.
    • Definitely see this as being 'weak' on paper but could see a few bumps up from previous sets at Download (Don Broco, Neck Deep etc).
    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.
